  1. What I'd like to ask everyone who thinks ANWAR is such a great idea is what if a large amount of oil was found in Yosemite? How about Yellowstone? Big Bend anyone?
  2. 17-3 with 10:30 left in the 2nd.
  3. This is the same school that pulled an OT upset over the mighty BCS wanna-be Frogs in 2001 though.
  4. If every driver in America had a car that got 20mpg then we could simply turn away any Saudi oil that is imported. (I.E. 1.3 million barrels a day)
  5. You're correct, that's how it takes place. Hydrogen and Oxygen are seperated by a plate, the energy they produce comes from the process of the elements trying to combine. More plates = more energy = more horsepower. (and I only know this through PBS and National Geographic, I suck at chemistry too). The problem with this though is trying to find hydrogen in its natural state.
  6. I'd prefer Shreveport. With the Casinos its almost got a New Orleans feel to it. Plus its a much better drive than N.O. and that would only help with the attendance.
  7. I think hydrogen fuel cell technology should be put on hold temporarily while other alternative means are found. In order to have a hydrogen fuel cell work hydrogen has to be found in its natural form, and that's almost impossible to find. Even if you did find it it would be too expensive to "harvest" (I guess that's the right word). And splitting water to make hydrogen cells is useless because it takes more energy to do that than the amount of energy a hydrogen cell can produce.
  8. Tulane football is practicing at Dallas Jesuit per Fox 4 news.
  9. there is not a truer post on this board.
  10. my point exactly. This thing is a category 5. The Superdome may withstand the impact, but the city will be in shambles. Bourban street could be under about 25 feet of water in worst case scenario.
  11. People if this thing hits New Orleans directly we may not have a New Orleans bowl this year. Mark my words.
  12. I'll go with the new guy we got...Willie Ransom? The LB that looks like Pedro.
  13. if memory serves me correctly (and it usually doesn't) then this team is a lot like our 2001 team in terms of age. Only this time its probably more talented.
  14. Arizona? pfft ha.
  15. I for one, think this is a great idea, not because I find the names offensive nor do I think native americans do. I just think those type of mascots are way overused. I mean we have 2 indian mascots in our conference alone, for christ sake, get creative. Next I hope they go after tigers and eagles.
  16. [begin uninformed guess] I assumed that those that were uploaded to the site are now erased due to the board's sytem going down. If your avatar is linked to another URL it probably works. [end uninformed guess]
  17. Bring your fans, children, pets, let them see the truew champs, I mean how can it be a rivalry if they never win!?
  18. Maybe this year that's the case, but generally the WAC is a better basketball conference.
  19. I can't believe I'm rooting for the Sooners. Niagra is making me nervous. Bama has cut UW Milwaukee's lead to 5.
  20. If they were a 9 or 11 seed they may could get into the 2nd round, but as a 13 the matchup is too tough this year for any Belt team. I got Louisville taking out Washington in the sweet 16.
  21. i like our bands, they just need to have a larger selection. Both basketball and football games.
  22. Well, I've been a much better fan this year than I have the last few years. I'm proud to say that I'm a much better supporter and very proud i made no typos considering how much ive drank tonight.
  23. September 3rd, right?
  24. Won't be able to make it tonight. Pit Crew: giver ASU's Tyler hell again!
