    The main reason Bomar looked so awful was because his team was playing the #2 team in all of the nation. Difference is that Meager looked awful against the #2 team in the Sun Belt.

    I've been wondering the same thing. This guy has never disappointed me, and I'll never forget his heroics against MUTS in 2003.

    I voted yes originally, but now I would consider myself undecided. I guess we'll just have to rely on Troy to drop a few eggs and for the Mean Green to keep winning.

    lots and lots of alcohol...? I dunno, really. It just seems like everyone on the teams is making stupid rookie-ish mistakes. Stuff that can be corrected in 8 weeks time I think.

    I remember it clearly as it was right in front of where I sat. He threw his helmet off after he was slightly shoved by a Troy player and then proceeded to stumble back 10 yards as though he lost his balance and his helmet. Sorry, can't stick up for our team on that one, it was a nice acting job that didn't fool the officials.

    I actually agree, but I must say that Showalter did win a World Series with the Diamondbacks. Against the Yankees of all teams too. Larry Dieker, now there's a coach you can compare Dickey to, albeit apples and oranges.

    Yes, I'm not completely stupid....I didn't say what he did was or wasn't a gamble and whether he should have done it, but I give him props for trying. And I don't blame him for leaving for Iowa. With team's record in the 6 years he coached he demanded the fan's support and didn't get it.

    I dunno, these fans aren't very predictable. I think it all depends on how we do the rest of the year and whether or not we're competing for a conference title come november 5th. I'm amazed that we have more than 12k in attendance after the bomb we dropped against Tulsa a few weeks ago in front of 23, 000.

    hey, why the he!! not? I loved seeing the spread offense in the final drive of the New Orleans Bowl last year.

    yeah I believe that was why we left the Missouri Valley Conference and went Independent. That just shows you the main difference between Fry and Dickey. Fry says "someone's gotta be the #1 team in the nation, why can't it be us?", whereas Dickey just complains about not having the facilities or the fan support.

    Yeah Rick V, the promotions department, the Talons, SOMEBODY, I dunno who, did a great job of getting people into Fouts last nights.

    I assume most of you are Ranger fans, so does anybody else have a team they're pulling for? Both of my teams (Houston and San Diego) made it, but the Podz are getting roughed up right now. Maybe they can pull off a valiant comeback as I speak, but I doubt it.
