  1. snowboarding and speed skating are easily the best two sports in the Olympics thusfar.
  2. Someone older than me (seeing as how I wasn't even born then) can confirm this, but I recall reading that in the 70's Hayden Fry had briefly pushed for NTSU to be changed to Texas State. I think A&M didn't like this because as we know with the former SWT, State names are usually reserved for former A&M schools.
  3. ...and the sky's blue?
  4. Yeah just use my screen name on the shirt.
  5. Well, Synder's out of Mizzou. I think someone needs a 2nd chance, and the Sun Belt is a good place to start.
  6. Cut me a little slack, I'm not that dumb. I know he has better things to do then chat with us about running a 3-4 defense.
  7. I want to say they get an exception for "home" games being played in pullman since its only 8 miles away. Generally that wouldn't matter if they were hosting Colorado or Memphis, but i think they can technically get a home game against Washington state in WSU's home stadium.
  8. he really should post here, that would be fun I think.
  9. 2nd sort of, but I picked 1st. My aunt was a twirler back in the late 70's but got a good job with American Airlines and never went back. I'd like my younger sister to come but she's probably doing marine biology or veterinarian medicine, so UNT wouldn't be the right fit for her.
  10. Was the game against Washington State in Pullman considered a home game though?
  11. since when was RV up for the Lafayette job? I thought he posted that all he did was give an interview to the local paper?
  12. both excellent points.
  13. Yeah a great game back in 2002 when we had a pretty decent squad vs their somewhat mediocre team but a pretty lousy showing attendance wise. I would love to create a semi-annual rivalry though considering the distance between the two schools.
  14. I've been saying the same thing for months now. Forget the 0-12 record and remember the rivalry.
  15. Great hire for them, and really smart to. He's never proven much in the NFL but has done great turnarounds for NCAA teams. Wish we could do this same sort of hire.
  16. Paul McCartney beats the crap out of anything the Stones ever did. They should have him do halftime shows until he's on a walker.
  17. They're a formidable mid-major opponent and I think they would travel well to Denton. I don't like the idea of playing in the altitude in a fairly loud place, but I'll take a home and home.
  18. I'm not arguing they had an easier schedule, but to say they would be a .500 team or below with the players they had is just pure ignorance. Last I recall they were a wild card team last year with about the same team & a tougher schedule. And like I said, this isn't college. Every SUPER BOWL team has to go through the same set of playoffs the other guys do. Just because Pittsburgh gave themselves a harder run isn't any fault of Seattle's. Seattle lost because they could not execute, not because they had an easy schedule which meant they couldn't be the good teams. They mauled Carolina, and handily beat the Skins without Alexander.
  19. Dude quit being stupid. Regardless of the schedule they won 13 games with a loss to the Redskins (whom they later beat in the playoffs), and Green Bay in the last meaningless week of the season. Pittsburgh won the superbowl on a bad offensive pass interference call, 2 missed field goals, a prayer pass, a questionable Roethlisberger TD, and a gimmick play. I would hardly call the Seattle loss due to a difference of talent on the field. It came down to a lack of execution, and the stats clearly show that.
  20. Yeah because you can still get to the Super bowl by having an easy schedule... The fact that they beat more crappy teams this year didn't show in this game, the lack of execution did.
  21. The schedules are still all against NFL teams, weak or not. Any given sunday, remember? This isn't college where you can go 11-0 against I-AA's and sunbelt teams.
  22. this was 8 years ago, so im probably off on the time & date, but I recall something fishy being reported about how Mabank was trying to stay 3A.
  23. If memory serves me correclty, back in 1998 Mabank placed a fair amount of kids into a "private school" during the spring semester in order to attempt to stay in 3A and not move up. It didn't work, and I can't give you all the details, all I can say is that my dad coached for a school Mabank's district and had heard about a lot of sneaky stuff like that that happens.
  24. Yes. just about every game, actually.
