Even though I am no longer one, I will stay on the student side for all games.

To be fair many of the SMU students were taking advantage of (doing coke) the 3 day weekend at their parents' summer homes in Kennebunkport.

Call me when the Arlington Rangers win a playoff series. Better yet, call me when they win a series in August. -
Sports Radio
Coffee and TV replied to NT03's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
I picked 103.3 but I generally listen to ESPN Radio on Sirius which has a slightly different lineup. If I want to listen to sports talk I want to hear about sports, I don't want any of the goofy humor that the Ticket brings. If I want that sort of radio I flip over to Howard Stern. -
Dead Malls.com

Rick, the town center you speak of is still open, albeit in different form. Its sort of a flea-market type of discount center place. Actually doesn't look in bad shape considering its history. -

I check in on that site every once in a while, its a really interesting read. Its almost depressing to read the history of how urban decay took its toll on some of those places. I remember going to Prestonwood Mall when I was 12-13 years old (1995/1996) and it was a really neat place with an ice skating ring. I decided to go there to do some school shopping in August of 2000 or so and was shocked to hear that it was closed by that time. Read one of the submissions about how teens used to meet there to do heroin in the late 90's. Crazy crazy stuff. The Dixieland Mall near Chicago is one of the best reads, you may know it as the chase scene mall in the movie Blues Brothers. It's been closed longer than it was ever opened. -
Only in these circumstances do I feel bad for 'celebrity-esque' type teenagers. First Jenna Bush has 9-1-1 dialed on her for trying to slip a fake ID past a waitress, and now this kid makes news simply for trying to play a little blackjack. These are just kids being kids, they're hardly serious crimes yet they're ripped to shreds for it. I don't envy them.

Peak oil my friend, peak oil. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peak_oil And whether or not you believe that man causes global warming, I'm sure you'd love to not have those ozone alert days in July & August. Gotta pay for those highways. And markets don't always fix problems. I know people love to think this and I don't blame them, but history simply tells us different. Yes...and no. I think the idea that oil companies want to "supress" better technologies is a bit of a fallacy, but I understand the logic behind it. When NASA sent its global warming report & findings to the white house a couple of years ago they were edited by an undersecretary of energy. Not only did the edit, but they completely re-wrote the report as to pretty much can the idea that humans were a possible cause of global warming. I mean, an undersecretary of energy is arguing with NASA. NASA!? Now that may not mean much, but now this same former undersecretary is a lobbyist for Exxon Mobile. Hmmmm....makes you wonder. However it doesn't make sense to me why oil companies would supress the technologies because if they're smart they'll start investing in those alternatives to they can make their money elsewhere. I mean if Apple just stuck to making MAC's they'd be out of business by now. Better product how? In terms of fuel for vehicles? Wind & Solar are excellent for home & industrial use, hell the new solar power technology is amazing. Hydrogen is extremely efficient once its inside the vehicle doing its work. But the problem is finding hydrogen in its pure form. In order to seperate the hydrogren from oxygen in water molecules it requires more energy input than output. Currently that's the case, but hopefully in the future that will change. I do. And all of my power comes from Green Mountain Energy. Yes. And of all places, those darned 'liberals' at 60 minutes did a piece of this a few weeks ago.

92.5 Lone Star
Coffee and TV replied to NT91's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
I'm sure your parents said the same thing about TV 25-30 years ago. -
Wanna be oil independent? Move closer to your workplace. Walk rather than drive short distances. Trade in your F350 for a hybrid. Vote for those dreaded politicians who want to invest more in diverse technologies rather than rely on oil. We as people can do a lot more than further feeding our addiction to oil.

Dude, have you ever actually listened to Ricky Williams speak? That guy is so socially awkward he puts World of Warcraft kids to shame. -

Wings to Go in Arlington. I can only take off lunch, so I'll likely take it during the 2nd half.

They're going to demolish it anyways, might as well.

Well we won the Sun Belt. Not the MEAC or the Atlantic Sun or Patriot.

I really think our 15 seed is completely undeserved if that counts for anything.

I've said it once and I'll say it a thousand times again, priceline priceline priceline priceline priceline. The last time I stayed in new orleans for the 04 bowl I got the Hilton Riverfront (4 star) for $50.

Amazing how upset some of you get over a loudmouthed sports talk personality. Her job is to upset people because it invites more listeners to tune in to the drama. Use your time more productively, like contributing to your college's alumni monthly or quarterly or whichever.
