  1. I remember that, but I think they only had votes at the time, and wasn't actively ranked in the top 25 on gameday. Even so, is that it in the last 30 years?
  2. When was the last time our men's team beat a ranked opponent?
  3. When I walked into the Plano Best Buy store today, I couldn't believe what I saw... our NT Cheerleaders! They were there today helping promote the new NCAA 2009 game. I thought what a great idea this was, and decided to give a compliment to the manager for choosing NT. Found out not only are they a local sponsor, but the event was themed around NT football to promote the release of this game, and having the cheerleaders there seemed to make it a huge success. Families were lined up in the store to play NT on the new game. Even the kids were having their pictures taken with the cheerleaders. They were also generous enough to give autographs as well. I wrote down their names to give proper credit here, so many thanks again to Lauren, Lindsey, Whitney, Chris, & Brittney for taking time out of their day to help. I've attached a pic from the event.
  4. Which team holds the longest 3 point made streak, & how many games is it? Still don't like the TO call with 2 seconds left.
  5. That's missing the point. For the record, Florida has a 11-1 SEC conference record, & Vandy is ranked #17 in the AP poll. Again, we should be striving for a higher standard of success, not excuses.
  6. Good teams find a way to win on the road. Mediocrity always has an excuse.
  7. Reservations can be made with Mandy McKinley in the ticket office.
  8. They think it's ridiculous, but I don't see anyone rushing in to hire Dickey...
  9. So if Northwestern St. (out of the Southland conference) can do this, why can't JJ?
  10. This continues in basketball by RV keeping JJ around after ANOTHER sub .500 season vs 1-A teams, with 4 straight first round losses in the conference tournament, losing 8 of their last 10. The bb program is no better now in Johnny's fifth year, than in his first, so RV, what are you going to do about it? We're watching & waiting... Make the change... now...
  11. It would be nice if those in the athletic dept (both coaches & executive staff) had this attitude as well, regardless if that is realistic or not. Coach Fry had this kind of vision, and we all know the success he had here and throughout his career.
  12. Are we even at "First Class" having the 157th ranked team in the country with a 7-38 OOC record over 8 years? I want my coach to come in here (like Hayden Fry did) and say "guys, someone in this country has to be number one, why not us" Maybe that's not completly achievable in the short term, but attitudes like that permeate through a program, and stimulate excitement & support. Imagine that our coaches in the three main sports all have losing records in their career at NT, and we say it's ok. Why is losing ever ok? A&M didn't accept it and fired their DC, Tenn didn't accept it and fired two assistants, NT doesn't even fire the OC on one of the worst offensives in the country after he confronted a fan. Losing is accepted around here... like it or not.
  13. RF's conduct was unacceptable. With statistically the nation's worst offense before the game, he shouldn't have been offended. Either it's bad coaching, bad recruiting, or both. So which one is it?
