BTW, how about that GREEN BRIGADE?!!! They sounded awesome and looked great with their new uniforms.

The new green is fantastic.... it actually looks like our stands are full of green instead of dark green aka black.

Forgot... THE GOOD: The firework show was great, best part of the night.

Lets start off with The GOOD: Fouts looked pretty decent tonight with 23,000 fans packed in along with the new turf and various other improvements. Rick V. came over to the main gate to take tickets when the line got extremely long (Folks no other AD in D1A would do this... we have to keep him here for along time, RICK V. WE APPRECIATE EVERYTHING YOU DO!!!!!) The BAD: We got outplayed... we got outcoached BIG TIME! Our players gave up after the 3rd quarter. Did I mention we got outcoached.... OUR PLAYERS/COACHES should not sleep a wink tonight after their performance at on the field today! What pissed me off was the 'wingettes' or whatever they call themselves ( they sit in the stands with their outfits to match the 'Wings' out on the field ). Basically what they did the whole damn game was tell the fans behind them to stop throwing tortillas because we are not 'Texas Tech' and that is very stupid. They got to the game in the second quarter then left at half time and then came back in the 3rd to leave again in the middle of the 4th quarter. As they were walking out I said loudly "Real fans don't leave early" and with their prissy voices "we are real fans".... I bet 10 bucks they had no clue what the score even was!!!!!!!!! WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH TALENT ON THIS YEARS TEAM TO WIN WITH REGULAR DICKEY STYLE BALL... WE HAVE GOT TO DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT. WE CAN NOT PLAY POWER FOOTBALL BECAUSE OUR TEAM LOOKS TO BE THE SMALLEST TEAM IN DIVISION 1A!!!! RANT OFF/////

WHAT TIME IS IT?!!!???!!!! Off to the Alan Jackson concert in Dallas, then Denton tomorrow.... GO MEAN GREEN!!!

Me and 5 others are coming from the Wichita Falls area... it will be the first time for 2 of them to watch a game at UNT. Can't wait... GO MEAN GREEN!!

I thought about doing this: I plan on buying a case of tortillas and putting 20 or so of them in a plastic bags along with directions and why we have this tradition and scatter them throughout the stadium. What do you guys think about this? I might do this for the Troy game.

The bookstore sells some pretty high quality replica jerseys for around 50 bucks... I'm not sure if they have XXXL or not.

If we don't get over 20,000 it will be a major dissapointment. BTW, does anyone have any pictures of the new concrete 'deck' at Fouts?

This Saturday should be a very special day with the big crowd expected along with the numerous improvements made at Fouts Field over the summer. ---The MEAN GREEN deck is now a lot bigger and has been rebuilt with concrete... is it really a deck now? ---New turf should make Fouts Field easier on the eyes... the crown on the field now is very very small. ---Repainting of the track... should enhance the look of the stadium. ---Cobbs/Thomas sign covering the back of the pressbox will defintely give some flare to the outside of the stadium. ---New signs lining the bottom of each endzone seating stand. I'm sure there are acouple of other improvements, but combine all of these and Fouts should look pretty good on Saturday. I can't wait to see the new Mean Green 'deck'. Did I miss anything?

Back to the topic on hand... This is going to a great Saturday... after hearing all the good news I am expecting 25,000 at the game.
