    I agree with everything you metioned... but from what I understand some of the biggest lineman you could find in the 60's were only around 245 pounds in high school. Sure some might have been bigger, but from what my dad tells me he was one of the biggest lineman in the area at 245 pounds in 1969.

    Speaking of the player we don't sign... Last year after watching the Southern Miss game I thought to myself... our players look like high school athletes compared to those guys on the other team. We had a lot better athletes in 2002 and 2003 compared to what we have now. I thought success breeds success?

    Not really on topic... but it seems like everyone is bashing our offense and Ramon, but another problem is our defense. Our defense was pathetic this yr. We have the softest defense in Division 1 football.

    That may be correct... but in the end it all falls upon the players that don't make the grades. If we can't trust them in the classroom can we trust them on the field?

    SMU is really critical... I would love to see someone pin a "BEAT SMU" thread at the top of the board. Lock the thread and have it contain a big SMU logo. Have it on the board untill the day of the SMU game. I know many coaches and players visit this site. Give them something to work for.

    Answer this for me... why does a defensive end need 2 'sweat' bands on each arm? Oh man this is going to be a long offseason.

    Its football... god forbid if we ever have to play on an iced over field. Might as well just call the game.

    I always enjoyed playing on the style of turf Fouts had before... was a lot easier to move around for us lineman. I bet some of these lineman feel like they are playing in quicksand compared to what they played on last year.

    I agree with gloves... but the black "under armor" on the arms is to protect from turf burn. The last time I checked we got rid of that last yr.

    Cerebus... please explain to me how those help? Looks like a bunch of fluff to me. Covington wore the same thing. Reminds me of back in high school how some people put tape on their arms and facemask and all just too look 'cool'. Ok I'll go out and say it... that stuff serves no purpose whatsoever. Its all looks.

    Can someone please explain to me what is with all of that black crap on Chapmans arms? That looks terrible... this team cares more about how it looks than how it plays!!!!!!

    SMU by far.... Better athletes/better facilities/better everything. SMU is going to be pretty good next yr.

    I remember after the MTSU game I came on here and said "we are lucky to have won.... MTSU was by far the better team". Many on this board jumped all over me. We sucked this year.
