Why they chose to play at Fouts: Great playing surface Holds 30,000 Plenty of Parking Easy to find -- The only negative is the seating distance from the field... Why not play at Fouts?

Agreed... the amount of cash being spent on HIGH SCHOOL stadiums is outrageous. Its sad when a stadium is worth more than the WHOLE school.

Wonder what 2a and 3a facilities he is talking about? Fouts isn't that bad. Sure the seats are kinda far away and the press box sucks, but other than that its alright.

CatMan12... were you not at the Baylor game acouple years ago? The announced attendence was 29,XXX. The stadium was packed except for acouple of rows in the end zones. I feel like we are honest about attendence numbers. SMU on the other hand....

I would much rather have Texas State in the SunBelt than FAU or FIU. Our frats seem like they could learn a lot from the good ole boys down at Texas State.

No one will ever take DD away from us... he is just too good.

You know there are way too many bowl games when you have a website sponsoring one of them. Cut the bowl games in half. Almost half of the 117 teams get to play in one every year under the current system.

Next year against SMU would be a great time to do that.

Earlier in the year... maybe it was last year a poster on this board who played for the MEAN GREEN under DD said something to the effect: don't worry about the big loss... when Sun Belt play comes around they will really start caring, thats all that matters. It almost seems like DD has brainwashed everyone to just consider the out of conference games as a practice of some sort. I do not believe he instills the confidence in his players to make them believe they can play with the best of the best. Does this bother anyone else? Hearing it from an ex-player really made me

Cobbs is a man. No gloves. No arm bands. No fluff. How football should be played. We will miss you Patrick. The first time I ever saw Cobbs play was in the 2002 Homecoming game against LaMO... he and Galbreath put on a spectacular show that day. I think the final score was something like 42-2.
