Exactly the way I see it as well.

I was in Steve and Barry's last night and all NT shirts were gone. Nothing on the hanging racks and nothing in the little cubbies. If you sell it, they will come! There's another store at Grapevine Mills with NT stuff...Sports USA or something like that. No apparel, just flags, blankets, chairs, pens, etc. They had the standard folding chair with "North Texas" on the front of the seat back and the helmet on the back of the seat back. Good to see more places with stuff.

Along these same lines, I've thought about the following for quite a while. An 8 (or so) story building to be used for whatever we could get funding for with the top two stories being the press box and suites. Then, the stadium seating would be built butting right up to the building and could be anything, including the erector set variety, because it would be the building that would show externally. I wish they could do this at the present location by tearing down the west stands, eliminating the track, moving the field close to the east stands and building anew on the west side. Guess that's completely out of the question now that they are already installing the new surface at Fouts.

If we don't, we're skewered.

Come join us in Sec. D, row 28...if you like morgues. You won't be disturbed there. We are right across the aisle from sec. E. We've been trying to get people rowdy around there for years. Still trying... Does anybody know what a critical 3rd down play is? I'll keep sitting there because I don't like sitting down low due to the sightlines.

Recent grads, current and future students are where our future fanbase will come from. Those who have been here through the "RV" years and feel a connection to the program will come back. Nothing short of a surprise invite to the Big 12 will get the "lost" alumni back in substantial numbers.

Stopped at Woody's on Saturday on the way down to H-town to see the Rangers win the only game they've won in recent memory. Got a 1/2 lb. of jerky.

Is that comment a new addition? I hope they have good reason to believe it will be done by then. I think that is as soon as we could have possibly expected. Four more seasons in crappy Fouts...I'll take that. Oh ye of pocketus deepus, come ye forth!

Does this work? The last two years, I have specifically requested high row numbers for the N.O. Bowl, specifically stating that I'd rather have row 40 on the 20 yard line, than row 20 on the 50. They still put us down low. I sent my renewal form in a while back and requested 4 new seats near my original 2 in sec. D. We'll see.

Agreed. We refer to them as the seat-Nazis.

This really happened? Unbelievable! Until sellouts are happening on a consistent basis, the AD should be thrilled with every single soul that shows up at the gate. They shouldn't care whether you have a general admission ticket, student ID, section E ticket or a friggin' Chuck E. Cheese ticket. Welcome to Fouts. Enjoy the game.

Well, I can't let this thread die without putting in my 2 cents. THE WHOLE SEAT NAZI BS IS A BUNCH OF BS! This program has not reached the point where we can tell people where to sit, when there are empty seats everywhere, tell people not to bring in water, etc. It should be as little hassle as possible. Someday, I hope, there will be a need for this kind of thing, but it should be phased in gradually and done on an as needed basis. I don't think we'll see these clowns again this year. As FFR said, there won't be a need.

Too bad you couldn't just stop there.

1. Most importantly, seats as close as feasibly possible to the field. None of this curved arrangement like at Fouts where the 50 yard line seats are even further from the field. 2. A fully enclosed stadium. Not necessarily seats surrounding the entire field, but buildings or dirt or whatever to make it more intimate and loud. This should be accomplished by having the field well below grade. 3. The second floor of the athletic building in the endzone should be offset 20 to 30 feet to allow for 6 - 8 rows of seats on the roof of the first floor. This would look so cool! 4. Stadium must be designed so that upper deck(s) can be added when necessary. My preference would be to have an upper deck on one side in the initial building, even if the total seating on that side was only 14 - 16K (9,000 lower, 6,000 upper). 5. First row of seats no less than 8 feet above field surface. I hate seeing a stadium where no one is sitting in the first 10 rows because you can't see over the people on the sidelines. 6. ICE IN DRINKS! Or just keep letting me bring in my own drink.

My name is Kyle and I live in Coppell. I graduated from NT in 1986 with an accounting degree. I work for Ericsson in Plano. I have been a season ticket holder since the move back to D-1A. This past season I attended all home games, UT, TCU and the N.O. Bowl. I did not attend games as a student (seems to be a trend). Now, I wouldn't miss one.

I'm not disputing the Lady Eagles "ownership" of the floor. Its just that we're the only ones who know that "Mean Green" means men and "Lady Eagles" means women (well, that part is pretty self explanatory). So, it looks like it's the floor for the Mean Green Lady Eagles and the men are just using it for the time being. About the strobes, no, they are not photographer strobes. They are located up in the rafters somewhere and periodically (even while play is going on) they flash. It was driving me nuts (well, more nuts).

Two observations: I hate the way it says "Lady Eagles". It looks like the men are just borrowing their floor. It was the first thing I noticed as soon as I walked in. That will look very odd on T.V. Second, what's up with those dam# strobe lights going off constantly during the game? That was very distracting and I don't understand the purpose. Those have got to go!
