My point wasn't that he deserved praise for meeting ridiculously low expectations, but that it would be quite an accomplishment to improve to 7 wins after last year's debacle. I'm completely on board with you that going 0-4 or 1-3 against this year's OOC schedule is completely unacceptable.

Way to early to tell, but let's assume "moderate" improvement in the team from last year. In that case, it looks like 4-7 or 5-6 to me. We should carry DD around on our shoulders if we go 7-4, regardless of who the wins are against.

I'd be first in line. I think I'd go for the white one.

Kind of odd how that website lists opponents by their current school name instead of what they werer called at the time.

I lettered in front yard football all five years before moving up to tackle with no pads on any of several local fields. There were some pretty tough HS and former HS players that played in those games. I quit at about age 23 after seeing a number of broken body parts and ER visits (never me thankfully). I've played a bit of flag fb along the way as well. Don't know why I never played organized fb. Guess it wasn't a priority for my parents.

I have been to this in the past. It's a great party. I'm kind of wondering if it might even supplant N.O. as Mardi Gras town if N.O. can't make a recovery.

Remind me of the story on Mills. What year is he? Was he injured or did he have grade problems or what?

The refs didn't beat us. We lost to a better team. That being said, swallow the dang whistle and let 'em play for gosh sakes! What a beating...watching a game where there's a whistle every trip down the floor. You always hear that a foul could be called on every possession. Well, these guys decided to do it.

Hey, baby steps. They are finally carrying NT gear in Denton at some place other than the Bookstore and Voertman's.

This was the first game I've been to this year. Going in, I was afraid it might be boring since I was expecting us to blow them out. What a disappointment. No defense whatsoever. Turnovers galore. Either one of those is going to get you beat, but both on the same night is a guarantee. It was a sloppy mess. At least the floor looks good.

Yes! The "mini-band" was great. I can't imagine why they cut that out. Oh, I'll bet the highly-professional "event staff" wouldn't let them loiter on the equator long enough to play the fight song.

They came from some place at G. Mills. The tubing is white and the seat and back are green fabric. The front of the seatback has "North Texas" with a star between the North and the Texas. The back of the seatback has the helmet with the old script logo.

I received three new MG items for Christmas... - Mean Green throw/blanket. Old logos, but still very cool (or warm I guess). - pair of NT folding tailgating chairs. I voted "other". I agree with those that think an early season, regional I-AA at home would be a good 12th game. It should be either TSU, SFA or SHSU.
