I don't think there were any. I was shocked. I agree that this was a big positive from the game.

I absolutely hate these new rules. Shortening the game by taking away plays is insane. How 'bout take away "dead" time? Unfortunately, we're not going to see that happen, because dead time = commercials = money. Dead time also = replay. As long as everyone is on board with replay, games will be longer. Too bad they chose to make up for it by giving us less product on the field.

Agreed...mostly mistakes when attempting to tackle somebody.

Bad news first. Worst 1) Tackling - far and away the worst aspect of the game. 2) 4th quarter meltdown - penalties, turnovers, muffed kick returns 3) Offensive line didn't make trip to Austin Best 1) No turnovers 'til 4th quarter 2) Woody 3) The team with green helmets ran some pass plays

All white looks like you're wearing your practice unis and you can't afford another set. No black pants either. I like the all green whenever possible. Green pants with white top in Austin.

Russell, I hope you're right, but I just don't see us scoring a touchdown or holding you to 41. We'll only have 2 plays per offensive series because the 3rd will be a fumbled snap. No matter how good our defense might be, they can't hold up after being on the field for 45 minutes. UT - 62 NT - 6

Agreed. This is my experience as well. I hardly even notice where someone went to school and even what degree they hold. Do you sound like you have a clue during an interview? Are you remotely familiar with the concepts that are discussed in the interview? Answer "yes" to these questions and you're in.

Perfect summation. I was there as well (Saturday, not Wednesday) and saw exactly the same thing. Atrocious!

I was at Fouts this morning for fumbled snap practice. Man, we are gonna be great! We fumble the snap about once in every three snaps regardless of who the QB is. What bowl does the team with the most fumbled snaps go to? Honestly, I couldn't really see anything at the scrimmage good or bad because all of the fumbled snaps were so dang distracting. None of the 3 QBs was effective. It seemed like the only first downs came on penalties or the occasional pass to JQ. Robertson got most of the reps with the first team. He looked alright. One bright spot...a lot a plays run from the shotgun with Phillips at QB. I'm glad to see the shotgun incorporated into the offense. I hope we still see it once the real games start.

Man, you're bring back a subject that has been discussed ad nauseam on this board. But, why not? I always thought it would be a good idea to tear down the west stands, remove the track, move the field about 50 feet closer to the east side and build 15 - 18,000 new seats on the west side. We could just leave those erector sets in the endzones for the time being. Then, close in one or both ends down the road sometime when more seats are needed and more money is available.

I know someone ususally hands out copies at practices/scrimmages, but it would be great to have it ahead of time. Does anyone on the board have this info?

Does anyone know the answer to this question? Inquiring minds want to pick up a dozen donuts and a chocolate milk and head up to Denton for some scrimmage action and 150 grams of fat.

Realistically, I don't see an OOC win on the schedule. If I had to bet my life on it, I'd say we go 5 - 7. My hope and expectation is more along the lines of 7 - 5.

All I know is that at every event that I've been to since the new stuff came out, there's always a crowd around the merchandise table. Even en route to a 2 - 9 season last year, they were always selling a lot of stuff. They just need to get it into more stores off campus and outside of Denton. We've definitely made some progress with the hat stores.

Is there anything going on this Sat. evening?
