  1. Can someone post a list of players who are still with the program and a little about them? Which ones are projected to contribute this year?
  2. I was at the game and was very disppointed in the crowd reaction when TD was introduced. Most did not stand. I would call it a brief, polite applause. I was up cheering my a$$ off.
  3. The option to pay out your tix and MGC membership over 9 mos. has been eliminated.
  4. Seems like this design would work well for us. Put the suites/press box at grade level with no upper deck on one side (imagine Jones/SBC with the pressbox just behind those brown-looking seats). Then, build big on the opposite side and have the same endzone arrangement as you noted above. Finally, it's settled.
  5. Too many endzone seats for me. Endzones are for future expansion, if there's no other place to go.
  6. I agree. The UCF design looks pretty good, but there's no reason to have the same number of rows in the endzone as along the sidelines. The endzone seats should stop where the aisle is. I definitely want us to have some seats in the endzone to keep things cozy, but they should be kept to a minimum.
  7. I vastly prefer son-of-worm over the USPS eagle. If we put that on our helmets, people will say "I didn't know the post office had a football team."
  8. Correct. The rooftop patio (already in existence) at the AC would overlook the south endzone.
  9. What about the famous, tricked up pants like Temple H.S. uses? Green on the front of one leg and white on the other...opposite when viewing from the back. Now that would look cool.
  10. The "Tulsa" design could be tweaked a bit and made acceptable. If the main purpose of this design is to lower costs by building suites/pressbox at grade level, then keep one side of the stadium as designed, but have a solid, single level of seats on the other side. There is no need for suites/pressbox space on both sides of the stadium. Build only the lower level in the endzone. I see it breaking down something like this: Lower level pressbox side: 6,000 Upper level pressbox side: 10,000 Endzone: 3,000 Opposite side: 18,000 Just a thought.
  11. I kinda think the idea of that design was that the upper level WAS the main seating area. The lower level was simply necessary in order to get things up to grade, where the suites/press box would be. I don't think they viewed it as separating the fans because most of them would be upstairs anyway. Note: I'm not endorsing the design.
  12. I've read through the whole thread and I'm not seeing all this griping. Seems like all but one or two have only good things to say.
  13. Hi Harry, Please add me as well. Thanks for all you do.
  14. That's what I've been telling everyone at work today. Has anyone gone to the Boise board to congratulate them? Anyone have a link?
  15. I am most excited about having a disciplined fb team that is put in situations where they can be successful. That doesn't mean that I expect to win the SBC and the NO Bowl and be ranked in the top 50 this year. I just expect us to be competitive, look like we have a clue, manage the clock wisely, play with determination, play an entertaining brand of football and be poised for success in the coming years.
  16. Not sure where this fits in with the debate over whom facilities should be named for. I agree with whoever stated that any memorial to Andrew should include clear statements regarding the circumstances surrounding this death and the memorial should be viewed as a lesson to those that follow.
  17. This is my favorite so far, as well. I think it would show up well from a distance.
  18. Accountant for an "international telecommunications supplier", currently managing the accounts receivables group.
  19. Surprises me that "outsiders" think NT is in Dallas. It wouldn't surprise me that they couldn't name Denton, but I would think they would say something like, "some little town outside of Dallas." Of course, we could then get into the debate about whether or not Denton is a suburb or part of the Metroplex. I tend to think of Denton as somewhat self-contained and NOT part of the Metroplex, but UNT is the "Leading University of the Metroplex" after all.
  20. I am not opposed to another change if it brings us more in line with the new logo and color. I'd like to see "Son-of-worm" on the helmets along with a lighter shade of green for the unis. After that...NO CHANGES EVER.
  21. The term I heard used to describe DD was a "some players' coach". I think he showed favoritism to a few, but wasn't really a player's coach for the majority.
  22. I believe the Carroll side will be the west (Gate 3) side. Should we gather on that side?
  23. Depends on what container you're drinking from. Big Gulp cup? No.
  24. I don't have the expectation that this year's class will be the best ever. It's possible that it could be, but I'm not going to have that expectation. With the late start and so many unknowns (who will my position coach be, can NT be any good even with TD, will I be playing in front of a crowd of 7K for the last home game, do I care if my friends think NT has the worst facilities in the country even though I know better, etc.), this first class could be a bit iffy. Look out next year, though.
  25. $16/game, unless it's a "premium" game?
