I, too, was surprised to not find more of this talk on here. The defense was horrible. I can understand that if you blitz, that exposes your secondary, but that means the QB is pressured. It didn't mean that last night. I don't get how DBs repeatedly let receivers get behind them.

Yes. I really like the helmet from the Iowa game with the oversized SOW. That looks much better. Undersized greeen SOW on black helmet = no bueno. It doesn't show up from any distance. I guess if the players like it and they're seeing it up close, then ok.

Bingo...and why I don't think a complete split will ever happen. You think middle-of-the-pack P5 schools who regularly win six to nine games a year and go to bowl games are going to be ok with winning 3 or 4 games a year? The money might be good, but the alums, students, fans would have a conniption. Plus, the networks (or whatever media outlet is going to pony-up all this money) are going to have to dial back big time once they realize a huge chunk of the cfb fanbase has been alienated and isn't watching anymore.

Took the train last time. Parking this time. Not a lot of info on the HOD website. For those of you who parked last time, was there room to set up canopies? Website says "no open flames". Are they just talking about campfires and such? Gas grills and heaters OK?

I had family in Heidenheimer (the Mahlers) as well...and Buckholts. Used to ride my CT70 out in the country on gravel and FMs in the area around those towns and south toward Holland and Val Verde. I remember a story my Grandad told, which I'm pretty sure was about Little River-Academy. This would have been decades ago. I guess the teams were pretty evenly matched at the time and to try to get a psychological edge, whoever the Rogers coach was at the time did all the pregame warm-ups in Rogers and didn't show up at Academy until right at gametime.

I agree we need a pipeline into Coppell. I have heard multiple times that UNT's relationship with Coppell coaches is VERY bad. Hopefully, SL and WB can fix that. On the other hand, due to rapidly changing demographics, the volume of FBS level talent coming out of Coppell is going to be diminishing noticeably in the future.
