Checks will never go away. I have a student loan, a car payment, and a city water bill I have to use a check. Student loan and water bill don't allow "online banking" without a huge fee and the car payment takes too long to get to payee through online banking. If you write a check to Wal Mart, they use some process where they get the money immediately and even give you your check back that you wrote. Sucks.

I was watching the WFAA news Thursday. There was a segment on the TCU basketball problems and their losing streak. I watched the clips of a home game in Ft. Worth. UNT has bigger attendance then the game they showed on that report. It looked like the band outnumbered the paid attendance. Not sure what SMU draws, but it looks like there is not much attendance for ANY of the local college basketball teams.

Exactly. He was not dressed last season because of academics. He is not enrolled for spring. Almost like he wasn't here...which he wasn't.

And Chuck kicks butt on the TV (reruns) all the time with his martial arts moves. Sorry Ditka....no martial arts moves. Chuck would have to beat on his thick head for a while to bring him down, but Ditka would never touch Chuck. Now with equal talent on a football field and Chuck and Mike are opposing coaches...Ditka.

What I mean by a "Branding Campaign" is all the stuff we went through last spring. I was in the Frisco mall a few weeks ago. Saw 2 or 3 people w/UNT stuff on.

Houston has the first pick in the draft. They already have a big time QB and a good RB. Carr is a good QB is he has the time to throw. He hasn't had the time lately. Davis still puts up really good numbers even though the offensive line is a poor bunch. Houston really needs OL. YOU DON'T DRAFT OL WITH THE FIRST PICK. I honestly think Houston can get a lot of draft picks and trades by sending the number one pick to someone else and turning that into a bunch of OL draftees and/or trades. Teams like Tennessee, New York Jets, Green Bay, Minnesota, Arizona, San Francisco could use an upgrade in RB because of injury or lack of production. Trade down, stock up on offensive linemen.

So you suggest schedule a bunch of cream puff games at Fouts? I think that would be worse for our credibility then going to Austin, Norman, Baton Rouge, Tuscaloosa, or Lincoln (or any other major college football city) and getting beat like a drum. At least NT gets paid for those games (half a mil for LSU last season, probably same for UT next season). While not all of the 45 OOC games you have accounted for in that record have been against major football powers, a lot have.

Well I don't feel sorry for Michigan or even Nebraska. I thought it was a bad slight against the Sun Belt for one game. Not all SBC refs are incompetent. We really need to get into the C-USA. Not because of this incident, but becasue there is more money in the conference. SBC only goes to one bowl game per year. C-USA goes to several and share the wealth.

My parents got me a whole lot of NT stuff. 2 lanyards (one for keys and one for work ID) an eagle with magnetic hands and feet that can hold on to stuff t-shirt (now I can have one to wear when my wife wears the other one of mine) Sweatshirt (It'll be next year before I can wear that though) BB Cap I like it.

Listening to the Dan Patrick Show on ESPN and they were really ripping the SBC refs for the Alamo Bowl. Just makes this conference look more and more like a glorified 1-AA conference.

I caught part of the game when UNT was ahead by about 30. So the bench let them back to w/in 13.

I didn't get to listen to much of the woman's game but I am real happy with a 10-2 start. Anything less then an NCAA tourny bid will be a big disapointment. Hope the girls can roll through the conference the way they are the non-conference.

I think this is the list I saw in the DMN Sunday. I saw 1 that had UNT listed as a possible. I don't see that on the list now. Local kid Jake Behning needs to be recruited by UNT. I know his dad, All American OL at Nebraska. Jake is smaller and faster then his dad was. Jake shows SMU and Texas Tech on his list. Is it too late for Darryl to go across town to talk with him?

I saw some good running, but I also saw some REALLY poor defense. Lota grabbing, some hitting, but very little "put your arms around the guy's waist and drag him to the ground" fundementals. Granted this is a recruiting film so whoever put this together for Noel is not going to put any of the plays in there where he cut back, slipped and fell for a 10 yard loss, or someone hitting him and he crumples to the ground in a heep.

I agree with Rick. I will buy one that has the eagle logo on it or the interlocking NT, or written out North Texas, but no UNT. I have always had a hard time with that.

They show the picture of the SWC portrait in that post. Anyone remember the one for NT that shows that picture and at the bottom says “Move Over Gang” and shows the flying work muscling in? I had the t-shirt 30+ years ago. Anyone have that picture?

Agree. Tired of wallowing in pity for our football season. It's over…let it go. Move forward.

77 scholarships…is that for football only or all varsity sports? If it is 77 for football only, that means almost the entire team is on scholarship.
