  1. Are the women still in the mix for the NIT? I thought I heard that somewhere.
  2. So the Mens team is done for the year. I though I heard someone say the Women should get a shot at the NIT? Anyone know if that is still in the works?
  3. Now I see it. I thought that said something else at the bottom.
  4. Go Green Team!!! no Go White Team!!! No wait.... Never mind. No one get hurt out there. Good thing some of the attendees can treat you if you hurt something. "Medpiolt, can I have a ride to the hospital...in the helo?" Wish I could attend but I have a wedding to go to.
  5. BCS schools can recruite better because they can go to these kids and say: National Championships, National TV Coverage and Bowl game/tournament appearances, higher percentage of our kids go on to professional sports careers in the NFL, NBA, MLB, etc. Even if the school is the lower end of the conference, they can still talk about better facilities and opportunity. What do the non-BCS schools get to tell recruits: You get to be on regional TV. Limited bowl games, not as much a chance at a professional career. Why would a nationally ranked kid want to go to a non-BCS school seeing all of that from a BSC recruiter (unless there are centimental reasons like my dad went there or it is local team I have been following, etc)? It is great that the athletes get academic notice. College students should. Can't play ball forever and will need someting to fall back on if pro sports don't pan out or if the pro career is shorter then expected.
  6. She's the pitcher...looks like she is GIVING one to the other team. Strangly enough, I think I like that jersey the best.
  7. Men are at 5PM on 3/3. Women are at 5PM 3/4. I am going to Tyler this weekend. 100.7 going to broadcast the game?
  8. I think this is what I have been saying for a while. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. The Sun Belt goes to 1 bowl game with the smallest payout (or pretty close) of any bowl game. Share that puny amount with the rest of the conference and it is a drop in the bucket. CUSA, all BCS go to multiple games. That means a lot more money to spread around the conference.
  9. I like both of the jerseys on the first panel. The one above with "Meen Green" looks pretty good too.
  10. Anyone still have a 16mm machine to play them on?????
  11. All the other NCAA ones are 256MB. I take it the UNT one is same?
  12. Saw this story on Sports Center over the weekend. Pretty cool.
  13. The only big eagle statue I know of on campus is the one between Admin and Union. Can someone pitch the "Big GREEN SPIRE" idea to someone to look into? That would be something original.
  14. I like the Green Spire. Depending on where the stadium ends up, that looks real good. I know it is not officially in the works, but that would be a neat addition. Original. If it is going to be on the Golf Course, might run into problems with the FAA. Denton Municipal is about 1 mile or so straight line from the golf course.
  15. Last year, only the top teams made the conference tournament. I like the NIT taking the stand on accepting the "Regular season" champion if they do not go to the NCAA.
  16. I am sort of a 1.5 generation North Texas - er. My dad is a professor there for almost 40 years. He did not graduate from UNT but I did.
  17. ...or Italian...you know...one of the two.
  18. I'm greedy. ALL OF THE ABOVE!
  19. Any ideas on where to get a UNT football jersey (authentic or otherwise)?
  20. It wasn't that long ago when Mick was shagging Jerry Hall from Dallas and knocking up Luciana Morad, a Brazilian underware model too.
  21. Ouch...I'm thinking of the OOC. Maryland, OU, and South Carolina (and Louisville is not easy but could be winnable).
  22. Any of those "independent check companies" have the UNT logo? I don't bank at the Fargo.
  23. Line Judge initially looked like he was going to spot the ball...the SEA player hit the ball with his helmet, R's elbow and hand hit the ground before the ball touched the white line. Plus your explination still does not account for the other two blown calls and the lack of calls against PIT.
  24. I think the officiating was a little off in this game too. Rothlesburger was not in the end zone on the TD...Hasselbeck got called for an "illegal block below the knees" after his interception when he was actually making the tackle...the "push off in the endzone" that cost Seattle 6 points (maybe he did but it was a pretty ticky tacky call). Those are 3 really big calls in Pittsburgh's favor. I really can't recall any big calls that went in Seattle's favor. I am sure there were a few but not as big and glaring as those 3 I just mentioned. And NO I am nether a Seattle fan NOR Pittsburgh hater.
  25. I guess you could call that a “wardrobe malfunction”….
