Congrats Women... So if we smack up Baylor, maybe we can get some respect? Baylor women are good. It will be a tough game.

So maybe an instant top 10 ranking after beating Texas is a far stretch in real life. But still...any team that plays definately the toughest schedule against all the power houses in the country (no playing a 117 team as a break) and blow all of them out toward an undefeated season, you better be #1...even in the "video game" relm.
-
I can't afford an XBox, but a co-worker just said he was playing a full season with North Texas. He altered the schedule to play every top team they could: Nebraska, Notre Dame, et al. He went UNDEFEATED... AND NO TOP 10 RANKING!!!. NEVER BROKE INTO THE TOP 10...EVER! What a RIPOFF! For the record he did finish the season ranked 17th. You know in real life if UNT Beats Texas in the first game...INSTANT TOP 10 RANKING!!!!

dito.

Hope he makse the team. Then with a few years in the NFL he can finance his law school.

He'll just have to change to Green Tea.

On the one hand: FIFA told the refs to call it closer to avoid injury. The coaches and teams were alerted to this. If you tackle someone from behind, you better get ball or it is a Yellow card. It was then up to the players to adjust their game to prevent getting carded on what used to be just a rough foul. On the other hand: I have seen some calls that were real weak that pulled out a yellow card and it seemed the red cards were handed out like free tickets. The refs need to keep a grip on the game to keep players from injury, but they also need to prevent determining the outcome of the game. The US needs to rethink their style of play too. At one point in the game against Italy, they were 20-7 ahead in FOULS. That isn't playing, that's MUGGING.

Damn! It won't let me put North Texas in all of the slots.

I just hope the FSN includes the one here. And YES there are 2 differennt FSNs. Houston can watch the Astros and the Dallas area can watch the Rangers on the same night with games at the same time.

Unfortunately I just don't have the cash to do that. It isn't that I don't WANT to. My budget just can't handle it.

Brasil played ugly but won 1-0 today.

I was joking with a friend who is a teacher. I was joking and implied he was messing around with his female students. He was pissed at me and did not like what I was saying...in a setting with a bunch of mutual friends and no where near anyone who had anything to do with the school or the school district. I apologized to him. It goes back to something he said to me before that he knows quite well and has to live by. You don’t put yourself in a position where someone can judge your actions. In the case of the student taking revenge against a teacher who was a tease, the teacher should never put himself/herself in that position to begin with. Going through all that crap of student accusations, whether true or false, still leaves a bad mark on the teacher.

Dallas Mavericks Playoff Thread
gksmith replied to Coach's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
I was watching the game last night. The wife says "Turn it off" because the Mavs were getting beat...in the first quarter. She does not like watching sporting events where her team is behind or losing. To say the least, I didn't turn off the TV. Even when it was 18 I didn't turn it off. And I heard a lot of people knocking the Mavs when they were playing the Spurs and they blew a 12 point lead in a game or two. My response is "This is the playoffs. There are no slouch teams in the playoffs." Same thing here. The Mavs and the Suns are good teams So no one is really out of it till late in the 4th quarter and there just isn't enough time to mount a 10 point comeback. Plus I think it was the MOJO of the David Hasselhoff GIF on page 3 of this thread. -
I never heard about stuff like this when I went to school. But then...I never had any teachers that I would consider "hot" either. Back on the subject...What the HELL is wrong with these women? These are TEENAGERS!!! UNDER AGE!!! STUDENTS!!!! YOUNGSTERS!!! Even if the kid is the one making the moves, YOU STILL DON'T DO IT. In the eyes of the law, the adult is still wrong. That is part of being an adult. You have to say NO when someone wants to do something that you know is WRONG.

I'm sorry....I have to put this in here. With Dirk singing David Hasselhoff, you can watch this to keep time with "I'm Looking for Freedom." -
Dallas Mavericks Playoff Thread
gksmith replied to Coach's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
On Friday the DMN had an article "Screen Gems for the Mavs" in the Guide Live section (Section G). The article mentioned some of the stuff they put on the screen during timeouts, before the game, et al. The 3 that were mentioned were "Goin to the Playoffs" (ala South Park), "The Avery Bunch," and "Raiders of the Lost Trophy." These are pretty funny. Goin to the Game you will have to get off of Janimation.com directly (no way to link to the actual video). I have linked to You Tube for the other two below. Janimation "Goin to the Playoffs" Raiders of the Lost Trophy -
No one could have given him a hint to stand to the side so the TV can see the radar and forcast? Dude....GET OUT THE WAY!!!!!!

I forgot about the draft pick. Crap. That puts PC about 4th on the chart. Hope he can impress the Special Teams coach.
-
Weren't there about 6 or 8 football recruits that went elsewhere? This is not the first time a recent recruit that UNT "courted" (and even some who have committed) who has gone somewhere else. Feel like a gilted bride. Left at the alter.

I accidently hit a guy on the TWU course. I underestimated my shot and to hit the guy on the back in the nearby tee box. I appologized but he still threw the ball back at me and was yelling. I didn't hurt him that bad, but he was a little mad. Accidents happen. When they do, you fess up and make amends. As for supplies, I will see if I can get with the coach on the bag. Looks like V and the Bookstore are the place for every thing else. Thansk all. And I will send up a warning when I am on the course next time. -
I saw where he at least had a "tryout day" with the Cowboys. Didn't expect much from that when Dallas signed Vanderject from the Colts a few months before the draft. Hard to beat out a very good kicker like that when you are coming out of college. Stranger things have happened. Several times a player is on the street, gets a call to replace an injured/poor performing player.
-
I have not found anything else on Nick Bazaldua lately. He is not listed in the Cowboys website and I did not find anything else on a search of the web. UNT Athletics site shows the story from March 6 "Bazaldua Awarded NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship."

This is starting to look like those Ditech commercials. "Lost another recruit to [fill in blank]."

Hopefully Patrick can beat out Patrick Pass (12 games last year) or Heath Evens (6) for FB position. It will take 2 key injuries for him to replace Corry Dillion or Kevin Faulk at RB. But in the NFL...anything is possible. Go Patrick Cobbs!!!! nuts...now I have to root for the Patriots...
