  1. What is even more amazing about Floyd Landis' ride is that he is doing this with a hip injury that requires a hip replacement. He broke his leg bone across the ball of the joint (worst place). This means the blood is not feeding the rest of the bone well and the top part of the ball is dead...and very painful. It is unlikely he would return after hip replacement surgery. So this was pretty much the last chance for Landis. Glad he made it. He is very deserving. The last 3 stages were brutal for him going from near the top, to bonking badly down to 13th, then leading a breakaway to go back to 3rd :30 back going into the timetrial Saturday (his strength).
  2. Hi HIG. I just looked online at the Mean Green Athletics roster for football. Unfortunately, Steven Woodward isn't on the list. If he is a walk-on, I hope he makes it. If not, hope he can get redshirted and make it next season.
  3. BBBBB.....AHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA..... I laughed, I cried, I fuged my undies.
  4. Sweet. Even The Fouts at the bottom of the box.
  5. There should be more office linebackers like him. Maybe we need an office LB hanging around the CEOs of some of these companies. You think Kenneth Lay and company would have done what they did with a Terry Tate looking over their shoulder?
  6. Some of these are sold by online ticket "services" (scalpers). I think I will stay home and watch on FSN. NT v. tu tickets #1 NT v. tu tickets #2 (from individual) NT v. tu tickets #3 NT v. tu tickets #4 NT v. tu tickets #5 NT v. tu tickets #6 NT v. tu tickets #7
  7. Interesting: Montreal has plans for a new baseball stadium...but no baseball team.
  8. Nice job of breaking tackles in the first clip. I only saw one pass to him? That was the second clip? So the question on him is can he catch out of the backfield?
  9. And yet ULM had to change their mascot (Warbirds)…. Just another case of the NCAA over reacting and making a case for something that isn’t.
  10. #1: I guess I don’t see the appeal for ANOTHER college all star game. The players are already “top 15 at their position” and are looking to get drafted anyway. Why risk injury for an all star game. #2: Texas gets smoked every year. Texas is a great football state and has a lot of great talent, but the top 15/position in Texas vs. the top 15/position in the NATION?
  11. Wife mentioned the was UNT merchandise galore in Lewisville Sam's (right across the highway from me ). In that respect...I love it!
  12. I thought I saw in another thread that the game is moved to Noon. I think UT will find out how much they miss Young. I am not saying that NT will beat the pants off of UT (we wouldn't get the refs for that...sorry...not to open up old wounds ), but I seriously doubt UT will put 65 on us like the last time and I very seriously doubt NT gets shut out of the endzone.
  13. Wasn't the final like 28-24 or something like that? I remember that year.
  14. Except the state does not have a case against Ms. Lay. MAYBE they can go after the estate. Would have to let a lawyer confirm that though.
  15. This really screws things up. Prosicution can not get a get a judgment against a dead man. Meaning they can not get ANY of the money he stole. So any chance of getting the cash for all the Enron workers that were screwed is gone. I don't know if they can sue his estate. That is a bad rap. I am not in favor of penalizing the family who gets the estate but the government not able to recupe the money is wrong. Anyone who plays Dungons and Dragons know a Reserect spell?
  16. No. I mean that you have less time to stand in line to get your food. Meaning you might be stuck in line when the second half kickoff starts.
  17. And yet...it made it all the way to Lewisville.
  18. #2: Ohio State: Been following them since Woody Hayes days. #3: Notre Dame: Been following them longer then OSU. #4: Texas Tech: Parents graduated from there. #5: Texas #6: Alabama I have friends who don't understand how I can actively cheer for several teams. There is a pecking order. This isn't "fair weather fan" or "bandwagon" fandom either. I'm the same way in NBA, MLB, NFL.
  19. And I can do a mean Horshack. (que anoying Horshack laugh)
  20. 1. Instant replay: The college game is a lot faster then it used to be. While refs get it right 90%+ of the time, we've seen one play effect the outcome of a big game. 2. Never knew there was a problem with the shields. 3. 20 minutes...less time to stand in line for food at halftime. 4. I think that could be bad when time is of the essence. I can see it now...:03 seconds left. Kick the ball and there is a touchback. :03 runs off the clock and the other team gets no play (unless the rule is that the clock starts when the ball is touched w/in the last 2 minutes of each half). 5. Put the ball in play more. NCAA ran into that in the late 70's or so when there were kickers who could hit FGs from 60+ yards away and kick the ball into the upper deck on kickoffs. aTm and TU had the two best kickers that season.
  21. So I got my North Texas Football Fan Guide in the mail today with "The Mighty" Quinn on the cover. Everything you wanted to know about ordering tickets and UNT football and traditions. Just wish I had the $10,000 to do the Diamond Eagle level.
  22. Oh MeanMag...there you go again. GrayEagleOne: I don't recall seeing a "gay ref" in any of the videos. I will have to look again.
  23. Those were out last season. Still haven't picked one up yet. I have to rob the bank of $30 so I can get one. NOT REALLY!!!!
  24. Pretty cool... And MeanMag...the second one with Pepsi Girl....disgusting.
