  1. There's always eBay.
  2. I thought they were talking about taking this sign: and including the middle finger...which means "F UT." Notre Dame did that on National TV before one of the Cotten Bowl games in the 70's.
  3. Regardless, a good WR is likely to be drafted by the NFL. Not too many kickers get picked in the draft. Hope The Mighty Quinn can have a great year (over come his injury) and become an NFL WR.
  4. Since UNT is not in the spotlight, there is no article on Phillip Graves, just a listing as a Big Man on Campus. There are articles for the BiggEST Men on Campus which is a select few select players. Unfortunately, the definition is not even explained in SI. but it is a nice recognition for Phillip. Now if Phillip can lower the boom on the tu qb the first week.....
  5. yyyy....y...y...y...y...NO
  6. Miami is playing AT UCF and AT South Florida in some of those years liste...why not come to Denton?
  7. North Texas has changed a lot in the last 25 + years. I would no longer consider NT a "commuter school." There is a lot of campus life and a lot to hold the student's interest outside of class. Enrollment is probably double since I graduated in '84. I think it is a matter of continuing to put a winning product on the field/floor, expand the athletic program to include such mainstream sports as Baseball, upgrade some of the facilies. I think all of that is in the works already. Unfortunately, one change I would make to the Super Pit is change the seats. They are too narrow (and while I am a little over weight, I am not exactly a fat ass either). Unfortunately that may mean reducing the number of seats.
  8. I was in Waco to attend my niece graduation from Baylor this past Saturday. While the Ferrell Center looks a lot smaller then the Super Pit at North Texas, I decided to look up figures before I shoot off my mouth. Enrollment (undergrad): Baylor 11,580 (2004), UNT 32181 (2005) (probably because Baylor is private and UNT is the 5th largest public university in Texas) Football Seating: Baylor 50,000 (Floyd Casey Stadium), UNT 30,000 (Fouts Field) Basketball Seating: Baylor 10,284 (Ferrell Center), UNT 10,032 (Super Pit) Again, the building itself looks a lot smaller then the Pit but it holds more fore basketball.
  9. As of 12:44 AM CST 8/14 there are about 104 tickets. Some to the Gold Post club(?) but most to the game. Be prepared to throw down a LOT of cash for these seats. eBay UNT at tu football tickets
  10. Notice that the schools that are listed are ones that are NOT part of the Big 6 BCS conferences. This makes for a hard time to maintain conference integrity. While CUSA is so large that they should survive if they lose a team, conferences like Sun Belt, WAC, MAC, could be down the tubes losing one or more teams.
  11. Great play by PC. If Patrick isn't careful, he may just make the team.
  12. It's ok Emmitt. I won't tell anyone. I am not a big New England fan either. You don't have to be a Patriots fan to cheer for Patrick. That is the way I am looking at it.
  13. Saw that on Saturday highlights. If Patrick isn't careful, he might just make the team.
  14. I don't think I like this new design. I will have to vote "no" on it. AND THE SMILIES DON'T WORK!!!! X(
  15. Who’s hot: Patrick Cobbs – The little-known running back has made the most of his limited opportunities during camp. While the likes of Corey Dillon, Laurence Maroney and Kevin Faulk getting the bulk of the attention, Cobbs has shown a nice burst through the middle and good hands coming out of the backfield. On Tuesday he played the role of Atlanta’s Warrick Dunn and he certainly did the Pro Bowler justice with several nifty cuts and runs. Cobbs seems like an ideal practice squad candidate. RUN PAT RUN!!!!
  16. He already made an apology. Hard to say if he is worth the risk. Keep in mind this isn't just alums overpaying him. He filled out time cards showing 40 hours of work per week when he worked only 5. That tells me he knowingly cheated and not just a mistake or honest in his intent.
  17. Yep. Sad the NCAA feels like getting involved in things that they shouldn't. Pretty soon it will be like English soccer. No mascots, just the team (city) name.
  18. PhotoShop ROCKS!!!!
  19. That is a hard choice. Here is a guy who either knew or SHOULD HAVE KNOWN the rules for working and getting paid fairly. Who's to say he doesn't do the same thing wherever he goes? Not sure he is worth the risk.
  20. I think FIU may take Duke. Dukies were 1-10 last year. Now much better can they be?
  21. This stuff doesn't cary over from last season. All of those teams lost a lot to the NFL in the offseason. Plus it is pre-season. Compare the final list to this one. I bet UT, Ohio State, and USC will not be close to play in the championship game. Notre Dame did not lose that much to the NFL and return a very good QB. Probably the best bet to finish at or above where they are now. Oklahoma....see the QB they lost and their replacement story to see why they will not be close (by big BCS school standards).
  22. Others receiving votes Arizona State (7-5) 182; Boston College (9-3) 87; Utah (7-5) 84; Arkansas (4-7) 64; South Carolina (7-5) 55; Boise State (9-4) 46; Wisconsin (10-3) 37; UCLA (10-2) 29; Georgia Tech (7-5) 28; Fresno State (8-5) 14; Tulsa (9-4) 11; Iowa State (7-5) 9; Minnesota (7-5) 9; Maryland (5-6) 8; Purdue (5-6) 7; Texas A&M (5-6) 6; Memphis (7-5) 5; Texas-El Paso (8-4) 3; Arizona (3-8) 2; Brigham Young (6-6) 2; Nevada (9-3) 2; Northern Illinois (7-5) 2; Northwestern (7-5) 2; Oregon State (5-6) 2; Rutgers (7-5) 2; Colorado (7-6) 1; Duke (1-10) 1. How do you go from 1-10 to getting a vote in the top 25?
  23. I see people wearing NT stuff every once in a while. I mostly see a lot of window decals and stuff like that though. I wear it as much as I can too. Now if we can translate all that Spirit into recruiting.....
  24. Heard on PTI today (8/7) that he may head for TCU.
  25. No schedule yet. As for the soft schedule, until we reach some sort of stature, I expect it to be somewhat soft. And Nebraska is not soft. While it is not the kind of program you immediately think of when thinking College Basketball, they have been to the NIT and NCAA in the last 2 seasons or so.
