George Dunham said it on the radio broadcast...that this would be a devistating loss for FIU. They have 2 paycheck games left on the schedule too: Miami and Alabama. A win by FIU would have been a BIG boost to them. With Don Strock as coach...I can see FIU being a pretty good program in a few years.

And this isn't even a case of criticizing the team for the "quality of win." I am glad for the win. But it was painful to watch online and listen to.

Yea...when the whole game is on the "Not Hardly the Top Ten" on Friday night SportsCenter when they show the weeks WORST plays. Almost the whole game was a worst play.

I was wondering who would post this. My thought exactly. I am very happy for the win. I am excited we overcame some adversity to win. 10 years from now, I will not be pointing to this game and say it was one of the greatest games in NT history. The game itself was sloppy and poorly played by both teams. UNT defense played pretty well but slipped in the clutch. The offense was adequate at best. Watching all the play calling, missed FGs and just plane missed opportunities in the overtimes was excruciatingly painful. "WORST...GAME...EVER. I will only watch it 3 more times...today.

I disagree. No offense. Defense played well. But it was a miracle NT scored a TD to take the lead and poor kicking by FIU is as much of what won this for NT as anything else. I'm glad NT won...but it definately isn't a game I will point to 10 years from now and say "that was a great game."
