  1. Voted till my fingers fell off. Typing this with my nose.
  2. Not like I was expecting Dodge to come running to NT as head coach....
  3. Would you believe that Bobby Bowden and Florida State are dealing with the same problem? I heard FSU got a threat from a BIG booster that he will cut off support to the school if Bowden stays.
  4. I am off work that weekend...I am more moble now with rehab...I think I can make the game that weekend.
  5. I really like that! I like basketball more anyway. Now we just have to perform in the post season conference tourny.
  6. While there were still the stupid undisciplined penalties, it did not seem to be as many... I could be wrong. I did not look at the stats yet. There were a few...but I don't think there were 90+ yards worth.
  7. So Leonard slipped by several program's hands. He is good. Very fast. ASU made a great find in him. SBC will be chasing him for the next 4 years.
  8. Though I did see TMQ on the sidelines on TV w/North Texas sweatshirt. I turned off the TV after ASU made it 10-29. What I saw before though, Meager played pretty well. He had some problems after the snap on 3 plays where he triped on the center. He only had only one INT before I turned off the TV. JMO ran like the JMO we fell in love with 2 years ago. TV anouncers said DD and RV changed back to the old running scheme. It showed last night.
  9. I made the call on the NT TD pass by Meager. Play action and throw to the endzone. Does that qualify me to be head coach for the rest of the season? I promise to give it back in time for spring football.
  10. Nice quickey interview w/Coach at the half. Nice observation by him and an update of his condition. I think he was even hinting he would be back on the sidelines next week. Only if you are healthy Coach.
  11. Not that it is the same thing...but UNT has (or had) baseball on a club level at some point. But NT needs to pick up the pace to get baseball to varsity level.
  12. If someone else pays for the stuff...it is a gift and no payment by receiver required. Of course if it is COD or something like that (does anyone do COD anymore?) then you just refuse it. I can see how that can be anoying pretty soon.
  13. Oh my god...You would think he was talking about some low level mid-major.
  14. I think the ESPN scroller yesterday said Evens. Can't say about channel 5. Channel 5 is not that reliable. I am waiting for them to say I will coach the team this week. My headset would be connected to you Rick..."So what do you want to run on this play Rick? Let's take a shot at the endzone. Deep ball to Johnny on the fly." And not to worry NT03. You can be my Diet Dr. Pepper Boy.
  15. From Necessary Roughness: Chuck Neiderman: "But in a typhoon it's anybody's game."
  16. I like this quote from the movie: Coach Gennero: Get up, Wally, people are watching. Not many... but they're watching. Coach Rig: If this wasn't friggin astro-turf, I'd dig a grave for myself.
  17. I will watch that one...the NT game. Hope it isn't as ugly as expected.
  18. If he is undersized for a center, we can always move him somewhere else.
  19. I think that video was posted last year. I am hoping for a good game. Not really expecting a win but one would be nice.
  20. Just voted agian. Big Red WKU is down by almost 7000 votes. I can't believe ASU beat us to the punch on this.
  21. So I was wrong about the NT vs. FIU 7 OT game being part of the ESPN "Hardly the Top 10" on Friday. But it did make Sports Illustrated "Go Figure." 7 Overtimes in North Texas's 25-22 win over Florida International last Saturday, tying an NCAA record. (Sports Illustrated October 16, 2006 "Scorecard" feature "Go Figure" page 18)
  22. It looked like FIU actually started the fight...which is suprising because Miami is usually the one doing that. Can FIU lose their "paycheck" game next year because of this?
  23. At least one of those guys sounds like the guy who was flaming our board.
  24. Looks like there are 2 videos there. One is 10 seconds and the other is 51 seconds. UNT Bonfire Search on YouTube
  25. Ok, so Scrappy isn't part of the challenge. Three reasons to go to the Capital One Bowl "FurFactor" site: 3. While Scrappy isn't in the challenge, WKU mascot is. (WKU future member in football for the SunBelt) 2. Vote each week for the machups (WKU's "Big Red" mascot is 3-1 and #2 behind Georgia Tech's Buzz in the standings for 12 mascots). And the #1 reason to go to Capital One Bowl FurFactor site.... There is a write-in portion next to the matchups. Vote for the University of North Texas. "Keep voting for your favorite mascot's chance to win $1000 toward their school's Mascot Program and an opportunity to compete in the 2007 Capital One Mascot Challenge! Also, make sure to come back daily to support your other favorite mascots. Check below to see if your school has made it into the top 10 write-in candidates. If not, be sure to keep VOTING!" Capital One Bowl FurFactor Disclaimer: I am not a representative of Capitol One or any of the associated sites such as the bowl game. I want to get a mass write-in campaign to see if Scrappy can get into the Capitol One Bowl Challenge 2007.
