Parents live on the NE side of town near 380 and 288. There is a creek that runs behind the house. That part of the creek is VERY WIDE AND DEEP. It crested and flooded 18 inches of water in the basement. When the water went down, all the water in the basement washed away. Left a big mess. Hope that original Picasso down there is ok (psych!). There is no Picasso. Denton made The Weather Channel. Could not tell where all the pictures came from but it was knee high in a lot of places. Showed an ambulance that washed into a small creek.

I remember the porposal you are talking about. This was county wide and had a rail system to connect with Dart in Carrolton. Unfortunately, it was voted down. The no votes came from cities like Flower Mound, and others off of I35 that would not receive benifits from the system till later. Places like Lake Dallas and Lewisville would get immediate use from the proposed system. I was very disapointed because I thought it was a very good idea to link up Denton to DT Dallas. Not enough forward thinkers in the other cities to vote for it.

I really miss Bo & Jim in the morning. I don't know what happened to them but I hope they did not get put out on the curb like they did last time about 5 years ago when they were the #3 morning radio show in the area. Now I am lost in the morning and don't know what to listen to. Not sure I like the Jack FM format. Plus it is pretty cheap. No DJs. 5 or 6 people could run the whole station.

But that would imply the Dot Race is fixed! That would really throw off the betting. I know the Dot Race is computerized but I would like to see a little more "human input" to it. Make it like a video game where people actually have to hit a button or do some action to get the dots to move. But yea...for some reason the Green dot is slower then the others.

I guess college campuses need to be locked down like the grade schools. Like the Columbine shooting, the government and school systems came up with a way to protect the students after the fact. Not as easy with a college campus that is so open. E-mailing students warning of a problem is not the answer. We have warning sirens for weather. Maybe college campuses need a similar system for something like this. The other thought is very expensive, uninviting, and just plane ugly. Control the access points to the campus. That means putting a fence around the college and having everyone enter and leave through several gates. I am sure we will have information come forth for a few weeks and a congressional committee look into this too.

This guy needed to be suspended. Has no respect for the game or himself. This is a guy with too much money and does not know what to do with it. Time for him to figure it out and maybe with the time off, he will have a lot of time to think.
