Let's face it. The TCU move was a lateral move...maybe even a step backwards. C-USA goes to a lot more bowl games then MWC. I think it was a bad move for them to bail on the C-USA.

Don't feel too sorry for Baylor. They post a losing record every year and what do they get for their troubles? A few million dollars. Big 12 teams go to how many bowl games? When tu won the national championship in 2005, the pay out was $25 REAL LARGE. tu takes out their expenses and distributes to the rest of the conference members...probably close to $1 Million per school. And that is just for THAT game. How many others did B12 teams go to...and won? Compare that to the Sun Belt Champion, if they win the New Orleans Bowl, the total pay out is LESS then $1 Million. Plus the Sun Belt also does the revenue sharing which puts the pay out to each SB school at around $100K - $150K. And that is the only bowl game an SBC school goes to (yes I know that is "supposed" to change soon to add a second bowl game). Baylor has all the same disadvantages NT has. We both compete for recruits against tu, zero-u, atm, Tech, et al. Baylor probably recruits the same (if not better then NT) and STILL loses. Both are working on building (or re-building) a football program. I just find it real hard to feel sorry for even the worst BCS conference team. They are still part of the "Haves" and everyone else is part of the "Have Nots."

I am really trying hard to not sound racist or anything...but foreigners don't understand "American Football." Plus the NFL tried to make a buck by having the NFL Europe league...which folded. In the end, there were only teams in central Europe (Germany mostly). Foreigners enjoy their once a year pre-season game. Leave it at that.

Why would any person who is paid to follow the team (coach, players, trainers, sports reporters) read anything from any message board much less take any of it seriously? I remember saying this once before. We are all just “Ignorant Fans.” Unless you are paid to be around the team, are a member of the team, spend 8-10 hours every day working with the coaches or players, reporting on the team, we as fans really don’t know what is going on. Fans are on the outside looking in. No one in a higher position with the team should take anything any “fan” says seriously. And this isn’t just this board. It is every fan of every team in every sport ever played or will ever be played in every country. Fans are ignorant to the real workings of the team and sport. We know a lot, but we definitely don’t know as much as a coach, player, or reporter.

I remember NT playing a lot of games at Texas Stadium. Not sure about a whole season. Just before the "Death Penalty," SMU played all of their games at Texas Stadium. Part of the reinstatement required SMU to play on campus.

Not sure if anyone has the Athletic Departments ear, but I think the home opener should be a “Green Out” or “Green Wave” (maybe not green wave…too close to Tulane) or “Sea of Green” where EVERYONE wears green to the game. No white. No black. (Dear God) No Orange. (Please dear God) No red. (For the love of God) No maroon (I will personally vomit on any maroon shirt or hat I see till it turns green). I know all of us and most people that sit on the press box side of the field wear green. I would like to see the word get out to the student body and the community to show your green at the game. Have the whole stadium bathed in green clad Mean Green Maniacs! That’ll scare those FAU fans!
