If Tony gets released, its almost going to be a "tryout" or "pro day" situation for him because there isn't much video of him with Detroit. He would have to visit teams and have a workout and physical.

Who is your favorite UNT Assistant Football Coach?
gksmith replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
This is an unfair poll. This is like asking you "Who's your favorite child" or "Who's your favorite parent." Pass. "I love them all equally." -
The Future is Electric

Not ot be pickey...but it appears this thread has gone off the rails. -
You are comparing 4 #1 seeds in the simis to tonight's matchup? Tuesday's game features two teams at their best. Just sayin'.

Alright... Who's stepping up to the plate this Fall?
gksmith replied to golfingomez's topic in Mean Green Football
I doubt any university would allow someone to have a "perminant" structure at the stadium. How does it get transported each week without a simi truck? -
Let's see...watch two lower seed teams make for a mediocre men's finals or the best two UNDEFEATED women's teams Tuesday... I think I am in for the women's finals tomorrow.

The Future is Electric
gksmith replied to SilverEagle's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
I am looking forward to the hydrogen cars. Did the hybrid/electric cars ever figure out the air conditioning problem? The early hybrid cars rarely used the electric drive because you run the a/c, it has to use the gas drive. If you go faster than 35 or 40 MPH it used the gas drive. The hybrids were real heavy so the true gas mileage was pretty bad. -
Not sure if it was John or someone else or if it was quoted by SI but that is how the "Men's Gym" was nicknamed The Snake Pit. I was there (as a kid) in the day and it was a fitting name.

The way they made it sound, all of the letters blew into Lake Lavon. Reality is 30 minutes and some Gorilla Glue - easy peesy.

Rescue In Houston

Saw it on the news today. The guy did some stuff to save himself but getting the ladder there in time was masterful. God bless fire fighters. -
Denton SWAT officers school Olympic bobsledder Johnny Quinn
gksmith replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Johnny was showing them how to Quinning on the door. They were showing Johnny how to use "cheater material" (explosives). :-P -
I was expecting 3 didgets scoring. There was only 30 points total after the first half. I was surprised there was double didgets. :-P Good time watching.

I'm not going to say ill things about someone but Fred Phelps and his followers are just what is wrong with Christianity. I am a Christian. However, what Westboro Babtist Church and Rev. (use the term loosely) Phelps did really brought a lot of anger toward Christianity and Christians. Rumor is that the reason they did the protests is to get the local government to deny their rights and sue to get money for the church. It really appears that church is not about love and preacing the Gospel to the world and that is not what Christians do...at least the ones I grew up with and the ones I interact with now. They protested in Waco last year (I think). I have a nephew and his friends spoof their protest. He held a sign that said "Worst Tailgate Ever."

1st year HC Brad Underwood and his Lumberjacks
gksmith replied to FirefightnRick's topic in Mean Green Basketball
Several "experts" have picked both sides (VCU). Since I am not picking brackets I will root for SFA but not be too sad if VCU wins. -
NT didn't play well against UTSA. I'm not undervaluing UTSA but a good showing will change that outcome in 2014.

Many schools would kill for 27 wins...much less 27 in a row.
