New Mexico State was always a tough game and I hated to see them leave. I was never really happy with UNT in the Whatever Conference that was when we played all our away games in the northwest. No rivalries there. Too far away.

There was a college tournament in Lewisville May 25-29, 2009. Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship UNT had 4 teams there. Never did find the final results.

For big Lance Armstrong fans, this is a tough race to watch this year. Lance is not the Lance that won 7 TdF. He is playing the roll of suporter instead of leader. Astonia is a VERY strong team and there are 4 riders that can win the TdF including Lance. However, playing like a team all the riders have to ride to support one rider. Alberto Contador is the early pick as leader of the team. Levi Leipheimer and Andreas Kloden are also capable of leading the team into Paris. Today was the last day in the Pyrenees. July 21 is the start of the Alps. Maybe the question will be answered before then. If not, definately after.

I know the bad economy (dating back to summer 2007) has adversely affected my attending UNT games.

We can't burn down Fouts yet! We need it for a few more years till we get the new stadium. Hard to say that with a straight face.

That's a lot of "bodybag" games. Be nice to see how many of those games SBC teams win.

The BCS system is in place till 2012 (I think) so unless government gets involved, there will not be a "playoff" system till at least 2013.

Maybe the way to the NFL for JQ is the same way it was for Warren Moon. Make a name for yourself in the Great White North, then move south! I am so glad he landed somewhere.

The importance of preventave maintenance. You ignore the problem long enough and you get a much bigger problem.

Isn't the normal protocol to "Ask permission" to interview for other jobs? When you are under contract, I thought you could not interview for a job unless the one holding the contract (in this case BC) gave the contractor permission. So I think BC is in the right here.

'Bama CHOKED! If they were as good as they were all season it should have been a route by Alabama. Just like Texas Tech, they flat choked. I am not taking away anything from Utah, but Alabama was supposed to be a lot better then that.

All I can say about that game is WHAT A CHOKE! Tech was a great team and should have done better. They were so much better then O'le Miss and just flat choked.

What will bother me is players on the Super Bowl teams won't play in the Pro Bowl. You really want to risk injury before the biggest game?

If only it could happen.... Last thing our government needs to be involved in is COLLEGE FOOTBALL. There are a lot bigger problems in this country then BCS. We have banks failing, auto makers failing, tremendous job loss, crushing national debt, people losing their homes…and the Congress of the United States of America wants to “fix college football.” How BASS ACKWARDS is that? I would rather see our government fix those major problems, many minor problems, and then get around to fixing D1-A football if there is time.

I am a little out of touch this season. Work and other problems. So is the honeymoon with Dodge over already? Are the fans getting disgruntled over the lack of wins already? As with any coach I am sure there is some form of “fire dodge” website. Is it so bad it has come to that? I’m just asking.

Till the end of the Bull Crap Series contract (I think 2012?) this is all fantasy. Most of the college presidents don't care (or at least the ones in the BCS) what players, coaches, or fans want. So long as they get their money.... I still fail to understand the Bull Crap Series layout. Did Boise State get powned? I thought they were in the top 10. So now two “non deserving” Bull Crap Series teams get to a BCS bowl (Texas Tech ineligible since they are the third team in the B12)? So there is only one “BCS buster?” ANOTHER reason I hate the way college football is run. We were better off before the Bull Crap Series…well…CRAP. Here is a lay out for you: How about the 6 BCS conferences create their own football division and the other DI-A conferences create one. No body loves you unless you are part of that 6. It won’t effect recruiting since the greatest talent will still go to BCS schools. This way there is a chance for the non-BCS schools to get a little more recognition.

Not many of my teams are in bowl games this year. As for the Bull Crap Series so called Championship...I hate both teams. That statement is not entirely accurate. I HATE BOTH TEAMS That is more accurate. Maybe both will sleep in and it will be a double forfeit.

Thanks Long Jim. There was that question on what other BCS conferences do for tie breakers. Regardless of who went, one of them was going to get screwed. Both Texas and OU had great seasons. Putting up over 50/game by OU got them the edge. It wasn't even the human factor that gave OU the edge. It was the computers. I heard on ESPN that Texas still had the advantage in all the human polls. You throw in the fuzzy math and OU wins.

As a kid I attended several games there. Full house all the time. LOUD like a rock concert...next to the speakers. I really wanted to attend that game Friday but I had to work. It looks like they changed things up there from the 1970's. I can't tell from the photos, but there was the upper level and then there were those wooden bleachers that pull out along the bottom. Close enough to stretch out a foot and trip a player…or have a player dive on you for a lose ball. fun. The Snake Pit had its charm in its day. Very glad for the Super Pit!
