Sturns was the one hanging on the rim, and as I've said in another thread, what call gives the other team 2 freethrows and then you get the ball back under the basket? I think in the start of the 2nd half there were 5-6 fouls called in the first 2 and a half minutes.

Did I wander onto the football boards by accident? All this talk of not being strong enough to win conference and pulling the plug on the season. Yeah, it was an ugly ugly loss, but last time I checked, that still puts us at 1/2 game out of 1st and tied for 3rd place overall in conference. Nobody expected this team to do anything this year, they were picked 6th in the division. So why don't you relax and take last night for what it was, a bad stumble that the refs certainly didn't help, but that doesn't mean the guys should just hang up their jerseys from here on out. On another note, what the heck happened with Sturns's technical? Hanging on the rim when there are guys under you is allowed. Then we get the ball back after the 2 shots? That made no sense at all.

It was a great win. But I love how the women blow somebody out and its sunshine and roses. Then men win by 54 and yet somehow they still looked mediocre?

With only one section of floor seating in the Men's Gym, the fans just seem so removed from the game to me. The acoustics are also terrible, anybody listening to the opening introductions is lucky to understand anything.

They are a very young team and are without their only senior Brittany Gregory due to a knee injury I believe.

I agree. Kelsie wasn't afraid of contact down low and not many of the other girls do that. Don't think I've seen any of them throw any elbows either, and she was never afraid to do that. Not saying they need to be dirty, but she had an attitude about her that she was not to be messed with and would do what it took to get the job done.

GrayEagle, you make it sound like a bad thing that he got baskets off of offensive rebounds? I'm sure that playing a season with a knee injury and the hand injury also had something to do with the "selective shots" taken. You've already discussed the hand, but a knee injury, even if it isn't major, can throw off your balance and affect basically everything you do. I wouldn't want to have to wear that huge brace for a whole season. Again, the word selective sounds like a bad word when you guys say it. I think some of the guys on the team maybe should have been a little more selective?

You would think so...but who knows. When they got the 'natti style uni's, they were already dated by a few years. High school teams have the same or higer quality than the stuff the guys wear.

You know what, if you don't like the sport, which you have so nicely proven for us, then don't post here. If you don't want to support it, you have no business criticising it. I understand your comment about being a "good fan". If you are going to back it up, then be a good fan. Too many of you flip side as soon as one thing goes wrong with the basketball team. You make fun of the people calling for Dickey's head, then you go out and rage againts the basketball team. Jazzfests? 2 out of the last 3 years. 1 o'clock band? I've seen them before. Murchison? 3 or 4 times. Robotic competition, no honestly. Vagina monologues, nope there either. Dance recitals, not a clue. But you know what? I don't claim to support them neither do I use them as a measuring post for how big of a fan I am. I completely agree with your point about not being a bad student for completely supporting ALL the University. However, I disagree with your attititude of naming off everything you have been to or you can think of as a way of making everybody else feel bad for the fact that they may not like classical music or may not watch dance recitals. You state your opinion about college basketball, how you think its boring. Which is perfectly acceptable. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion, but you use this whole post as a tool for bashing those who do enjoy it and support it. You claim you will never call us out for not watching a robotics convention when really thats the point of this whole post. You can't still be a die hard basketball fan if you don't like basketball, and you can't sit here and tell other people to support everything and relax when you yourself call out basketball fans when you shouldn't be posting in the first place.

What the hell are you talking about? Isaac is the best point guard this school has seen in a long long time. Lee Green, Marqus Mitchell, Scott Ronniger, not even close. Jerome Rogers? Closer, but still not there. Jerome looked for his shot more than he looked to pass half the time, and in traffic IF he decided to try to get the guys the ball, they never knew where it was coming from. When Isaac penetrates and dishes, its hitting somebody in the hands. His leadership on the court is visible and a huge factor in the success these guys are having this year.

Are you kidding? We don't even get calls at home. Our guys have to fight the refs regardless.
