Not sure that we should give Wren too long a leash, but 6 months is not enough time for him to make sweeping changes. By August, when he has been here for a year, I think we can look and see the direction and see how feel. Not that it would be the time to call for his head, but I think that is an appropriate time to evaluate where we are and the direction of the program under his leadership.

Why do we need action for the sake of action? I like that Wren seems to be thoughtful in his approach. He is taking the time to evaluate the situation and identify the problems. Not based on a report, but based on what he sees. From there, he has to determine the right solution and the cost and then prioritize it against solving every other problem. That takes time. If we want the job done right, we need to be patient. Change for the sake of change is not the best approach if you want long term success. I believe that there have been many changes already made, but they aren't the kind that you are likely to see. If all you want is to see some changes so you can feel good, you are likely to be disappointed.

If the SP continues to operate, could this new arena be a venue for other events? Could this be rented out for things and be a part of the hotel area and be part of a convention center concept? Would more than 5k make sense then? I don't see why you would be a multi use facility that holds so few people with such a large student body.

There was quite a bit of gnashing of teeth about RV lying, so I thought it would be refreshing to see an AD that actually did what he said he would do.

Not sure that we could afford what it would take to keep a guy from getting poached by a P5. It isn't even just the money, it is also the step up in career and opportunity.

WB said before the season that he would evaluate after the season. If I were to guess, he plans to keep his word on that. He has probably already made a decision, but doesn't want to back track on what he said before.

Good to know. Not feeling great about a lot of BS guys, but I understand where the staff is coming from. Would probably be better if we got that number to 2-3, but we will just have to wait and see what the class looks like when we are done.

If we don't fill out this class, could a BS sign this year and add that spot back to next season? Just curious if that is an option if we don't hit on a couple of guys.

How does this impact Hawaii and the schools that play at Hawaii which allows them a 13th game (assuming that is still a thing).

Right, and I would guess that SL is hoping for that to happen and he will get someone in for the RB coach once that is an option, but working within the rules for now.

There are limits to the number of coaches that can be on staff, so he is trying to make things work as best possible. Just my guess on the second part.
