So what have been getting?

I will probably still buy season tickets. This is my team, no matter who is coaching and I enjoy a good kick in the crotch. On the other side, I was considering traveling to some away games, most notably the Army game, but will not be doing that now. No point in spending a bunch of money when you know that you have no chance of winning.

And why did it take so long to decide to do nothing?

I think my football weenie just shriveled up and fell off. Nice to see that we are committed to excellence in FAIL.

Worry about that when and if it happens. You can't change leadership in the middle of a gigantic project and expect things to run smoothly. They are likely to not run smoothly anyways, so why make it more difficult. Besides, there are plenty of other things to base RV's job on than just one coaching decision.

Yeah, with a new stadium in construction, this makes total sense.

What in our recent history suggests that we could win one of these games? Army will in the second year under a coach that managed to beat us this year. Next year, at home, I would say we are likely to struggle with them. Rice may be bad, but we can't really beat bad teams, they have to be horrible before we can beat them. And if we start 0-4, who in the Belt can we beat? Looking again at recent history, I would say maybe 1. I am not confident about this next season if Dodge is still around. I am just not seeing much reason to be hopeful. There is not a team in FBS that would look at the scoreboard in the 4th, down by 7 or fewer points with less than 2 minutes remaining, and not think that they could beat us.

Or pay off a coaches buyout.

And whose fault is it that all these players left (the non senior players)? And never doubt my ability to win on the Xbox with whatever players I have. I can make it work.

And then the wheels could be completely off! Sounds great!

This team has been "young" for 3 years. What are they doing to not age?

Actually, if the defense had not given up 30 points to ASU, we could have won. Then the kicking game would not have mattered. Same for Army. If we had stopped the long QB run, we win. MTSU game: same story. Maybe not giving up 30 points in the first half would have helped. Was the kicking game bad? Yes. Was this (2-10 season) all on Knott? No. There are coaches who are supposed to help players succeed. Where are they? If Knott was not the best option, whose responsibility is it to put in the best player?

Is this mediocrity? I never want to know what it is like to settle for less then.

Where there is a will, there is a way.

That is a bit of a stretch. This team could have been 12-0 if we had Florida's roster. We don't, and what you have stated didn't happen either, so why talk about it? On the coaching front, who recruited him? He didn't offer himself a scholarship. Who coached him? Did we just tell him to get out there and figure it out? If we did, then this staff is worse than we could have imagined. This comes down to coaching. If he is as bad as you say, and he wasn't very good, then whose responsibility was it to find an alternative?

Too soon to tell.
