  1. There is an obvious correlation here to another part of the board...
  2. Because it conflicts with his own opinion. Do you even read this board?
  3. I liked the way that "Matt" made up a word. Quality.
  4. And some Mean Green fans have a drinking problem.
  5. Where are you hearing this? Interesting proposition that would make a lot of sense for Boise. What would the fall out look like with this news?
  6. Are we now invoking the Supreme Court precedent for forum rules? Wow, what a cop out.
  7. This does seem like a very good hire, if true. I am keeping my fingers crossed that he is the guy and that he is given control over the offense.
  8. There is an old saying about opinions and what they can be compared to. I can smell some serious opinion on this thread.
  9. Fair enough. But was it TF who led to his demise?
  10. To the first part, you are correct, my memory was a little off. Based on the performance of the WRs in the game, there is no evidence to suggest that his presence would have made a tremendous difference. The UT WRs were being dominated much of the game as well and could not catch a pass. Even Shipley was dropping passes. McElroy never got the opportunity to get into the rhythm of the game. We can no more know if he could have thrown for 300 than what the outcome would have been with McCoy because neither was given a chance to happen.
  11. What do you mean? He is hiring a spread coordinator to run his offense at a school that has run the spread for 10 years. So he didn't get along with Franklin or used him as a scapegoat or was not patient enough to allow the new system to take. One bad experience with one person obviously did not color his opinion of the school and other coaches there. This is as it should be.
  12. Just curious, but how can you say that UT would have won with Colt and ignore the fact that they could not score with him? They got 6 points, two field goals, through great field position that was given to them by Bama. They had trouble moving the ball when McCoy was in the game. Also, Bama played a conservative offense from the minute that they got a lead. They asked their QB to throw 11 passes in the game.
  13. Just as a point of clarification, the US government is not a democracy, it is a representative republic with selection through a democratic vote. That is all.
  14. Ah, so you are a closet fan. And, for informative purposes only, there is no chance that NT gets men's soccer before baseball.
  15. Altered to apply to the American mindset. So what you are saying is I am proposing a radical new approach to debt resolution.
  16. Or we need to need to spend less and pay off our debts. I dislike the idea that you have to raise taxes to pay off debt. I don't get to just increase my income if I get into debt.
  17. I thought you hated baseball. Where did this come from?
  18. All I was getting at was that TU didn't play particularly well and that with what they showed in the Big 12 championship, Nebraska could have lost just as well to Bama. Not trying to start the merry go round. But if that's where this thread needs to go, Tech did beat A&M, who lost to KSU, who lost to Tech. How quality is the Big 12? Even they don't know who is good and who isn't.
  19. Nebraska, one gift point away from a win over TU, disagrees.
  20. Plus, we are talking about two extremely highly populated areas. I just don't understand why Montana couldn't sell out that game since there are so many locals.
  21. Are you really asking this? How about the complete and utter lack of parity and the constant quest to continue to tip the scales in favor of the "haves"? Or how about the massive undertaking it is to climb to the top and overcome the the traditional powerhouse programs and their overly inflated budgets that seek to impede your progress? Maybe it is the fact the a complete lack of focus on academics. Nope...nothing wrong here, move along.
  22. And do we think we could beat these teams, or just be "competitive"?
  23. Also, what are we calling scheduling Rice, Army, and SMU in the past few years? These are not traditional power house teams, and yet we found a way to lose.
