I'm not entirely sure if I went to a game last year, but the last couple of times I've gone and bought a ticket at the door, it was absolutely horrendous. I've had better experience trying to get a special order at Braum's with some new hire teenager stoned out of her gourd. $12 ticket, give the person a twenty dollar bill. Mass confusion ensues. Offer to pay with card instead. This makes things worse.

Kid and I went to the new Pollo Campero in Lewisville last night. Got the grilled chicken (seems they mainly feature the fried). We both very much enjoyed it. Kid got on verde empanada. Described it as a party going on in her mouth and everyone was invited (shut up).

I don't know. There were a lot of hangovers going on at the 2014 HOD Bowl, and if I remember, it was an early kickoff too. The difference being that it was an actual holiday. GIven that Christmas is on a Sunday this year, having that Tuesday off isn't too much of a stretch. Most places I've worked for the better part of a decade have given two days off for Christmas.

Pollo Tropical wasn't very good today. Pollo Regio is pretty consistently good. Anybody ever try Pollo Campero? Just opened up in Lewisville, so I want to give it a try.

I think I'm going to go to Pollo Tropical for lunch, so can well call it an avian compromise?

All this crow eating is great, but I'd much rather focus on feasting upon some roadrunner right now.

Oh god, somebody please get me the answer to this. I'm dying to know if it's become possible to buy UNT tickets from, you know, UNT.

So no more of that wily impossible to tackle QB from 2013? God I hated that kid.

Pfft. I strongly advocate the full and unrequited recreational use, possession, production, and sale of pot. I want an edibles station next to the bar in the club level. I want us to be known as the giggling, kinder, gentler green. Aside from that, I find the notion of marijuana as being a performance enhancing drug under NCAA guidelines to be among the most ludicrous things I've ever encountered. My only beef with pot during the Dodge years with his righteous indignation in testing the whole damn team just to show he was the big boss, then he had to deal with the consequences of basically the entire damn team failing said test. -
Scheduling Tweet from Wren Baker: Syracuse?

sacrilege! -
1) The tension in the room that day was immense. 2) George got indignant during his impassioned plea, nay, demand that Hank get the job. 3) It's only been a couple months and is still fresh in a lot of memories. If George accepts the future of UNT athletics with grace and never says another word about how Hank should've gotten the job, this water will eventually pass under the bridge. But right now, the wounds are still open and raw.

The Mean Green vs. the Orangemen. Will the drink specials at Apogee that day be the Irish Car Bomb? What, too soon? -

1978 - I count 136 D1A teams spread over 13 conferences. But mein gott, man! Look at the list of independents that year! -
I was most perplexed and disturbed by the pink panties of awareness the cheerleaders wore during our two October home games.

Matt from A700 Memorial Chances to Beat UTSA Poll
oldguystudent replied to Cerebus's topic in Mean Green Football
We are above UTSA in Sagarin ratings, and with their homefield advantage, it would be a tossup. Given that we've apparently garnered even less respect than those Kentucky Fried Chicken sucking community college jerks, the Vegas line has them as four point favorites. -
If I'm reading the tracker on reddit correctly, CUSA is the only conference with zero eligible teams after this weekend.
-
There are currently 20 teams already eligible. There are 10 teams that must win out to become eligible and 3 teams already ineligible. So that leaves 60 available spaces with realistically 98 teams still in the running. Of those 98 teams, 36 sit at 3-4 or 2-5. Remaining, then, would be 62 teams sitting at 4-3 or 5-2, and they've got to play each other. We win, we go. Do not interpret this as my only wanting six wins. I want nine wins, but I look at milestones and thresholds too.

With all this QB talk, does Wilson get to 1,000?
oldguystudent posted a topic in Mean Green Football
With games of 157, 188, and 160 against Rice, Marshall, and Army, Jeffrey Wilson is sitting at 724 yards on the season with 12 touchdowns. Dunbar ran for 1,197 in 2011. Does Wilson realistically have a shot at that this year? -
There will be 80 bowl teams this year out of 128. It's a near mathematical certainty that any and all 6-6 teams go bowling.
-
I still can't believe every team passed on him in the draft. There's are some GMs out there right now got some 'splainin to do.

Scheduling Tweet from Wren Baker: Syracuse?

We have three more years of schedule FCS, right? Lamar, Incarnate Word, and Abilene Christian if I recall. Does this whole thread imply that those may not happen now? (Sorry, been out of town and out of the loop) -
Not until he's got the crystal chandelier hanging from the tailgate tent. No. Really. I actually saw that last year.
-
We're not even on the waiting list anymore, and ESPN LOVES having us on that list.
-
How did I never thing of that? I have one of those things too!
-
But that's the thing with a bowl game. Nobody will know until December. Hard to plan ahead with such short notice.
