Maybe, but Alabama plays Arkie St., LaLa, and The Citadel this year with seven home games and one neutral site. They're basically a Sun Belt team when not playing in conference and play a whopping four games on the road. So wherein G5s are trying to make their schedules as good RPI-wise as possible, what's their excuse?

I don't know who started the black uniform fad. I can't think of an FBS team outside serious bluebloods that HASN'T done it over the past several years. But like all fashion trends, this too shall pass.

I don't have any particular feelings toward any one uniform good or bad. I'm more fascinated by how we've basically become Oregon with a different uniform for every game. For this old man, it's kinda foreign to not have a single set of home/road unis that a fan can identify with over a period of years, but I also understand that the kids wearing those uniforms like the variety and that it helps in recruiting (though I don't particularly understand that one either now get off my lawn).

So given that I can pretty much take a jet ski out in my back yard right now, how's the drainage on this fancy new field of ours?

I had no intention of implying as such. I completely agree with your statement on his being amazing and a great field general.

Man, every time I hear this kid speak after a game, I can't help but be impressed by his constant positive energy and leadership. I don't know what else to say about the matter, but felt with the drop in our fan energy over the past couple weeks, he deserves credit for what he's doing.

I can't much argue with them since the second quarter began on September 29th. Maybe too many years of "It's a football system, they graded out well," and "Somebody get me my Grey Goose," have me struggling with my college football faith. I don't feel good about the twelve game end prospects right now. We've plummeted from a conference juggernaut to extremely vulnerable.

Not a single word of how anybody graded out.

UTEP used to be a customer of mine (hence my familiarity with and affection for El Paso. Had some good times out there). If I recall correctly, they don't have ANY admission standards. Google search says their acceptance rate is 100%. UNT is at a not terribly admirable 70%. And aren't pretty much ALL schools in the UT system that aren't in Austin directional in and of themselves?

Did I hear that correctly? First win in El Paso since 1980? Whoa.

We still have UAB on the schedule so one of us cannot win out by definition.

So we just need to win out with our suddenly anemic team, and LaTech needs to lose one, and we have to beat out the new driver's seat, UTSA in San Antonio. NO PROBLEM!
