But...but what if Texas/OU play each other on Thanksgiving and it's cold outside during the 11am Lamar kickoff during my kids soccer games right before we open Christmas presents?

Here is why you leave Benford to finish off the season...

I'd love to be a fly on the wall of the team plane/bus for these last two games. If I'm a player, at this point, I'm thinking nothing more than "Hey! Free trip to Kentucky and West Virginia! Look mom! I'm in...West Virginia!" -

North Texas Ranked No 125 in ESPN Preseason Rankings
oldguystudent replied to MGNation92's topic in Mean Green Football
We should definitely be higher than 125, but since when do I care what ESPN has to say about anything? If ESPN had their way, every college football game in existence would be Alabama vs Ohio St. several times a week. They've no interest whatsoever in either covering or positively commenting on anybody in the G5. -
I'll be drinking heavily and gambling away my daughter's inheritance in Shreveport on Saturday night. Somebody text me if any hammers fall and/or if we succeed in our quest for a single digit win season.

Dammit, Wren! DO SOMETHING! /s -
This to me is a fundamental flaw in basketball. When teams/players/current culture/whatever dictate that free throw percentages are so low, and oftentimes dictate a substantial portion of if not the entire margin of victory, then defenses are effectively incentivized to foul as much as they can get away with, for they get rewarded with a minimum of 0.4 points every time they do. It slows the game down something fierce, is about as exciting to watch as athletic administrative staff spreading mayo on a Jimmy John's sandwich, and from the point of the of the team shooting, seems to be entirely ignored as a potential weapon.

I read that too. The Juco he coaches at is dumping their program. He doesn't coach at Sam Houston.

But...but...mah Texas ties!
-
And by pretty strong, he's talking about how TCU is presently the #1 ranked team in the country.

It's well established that I'm no basketball expert, so I ask the following questions out of sincere curiosity with no intent of stirring any pots: I think it is at this point a foregone conclusion that we will have a new head coach pacing the sidelines next season. Without speculating on who that person might be, I'm curious about timing, talent, and recruiting? Is national signing day the same for basketball as it is for football? Is there any time whatsoever for a new coach to recruit any players for next season? How does it work if a number of current players choose to leave, leaving the team short handed for 2017-2018? Is there raw talent on the existing roster to win games with a better coaching system/game manager?

To the pictures of the indoor facilities, isn't indoor track an entirely different NCAA sport? -
Please don't anybody misread the internet tone here. There is no bad intention. OP's post just got me to thinking -- I honestly don't think I've ever ordered ANYTHING from concessions in the Super Pit save a soda once. Like. Ever. I guess basketball just doesn't make me hungry.
