It was Baylor president Ken Starr who went after Clinton. After all was said and done, Ken Starr got to keep his tenured professor of law position at Baylor. Not a bad gig if you can keep it.

Between UTSA players flipping off our fans and threatening to come out to Fry Street to fight our students after games, and some less than pleasant encounters with UTSA fans at Apogee stadium, it's pretty hard to see through what is probably a minority representation of the university and be objective toward anything about it. I don't wish Lynn Hickey any ill will, and my comment on the first page didn't suggest any such thing. It's only that in past observations, when I've seen a member of any given athletic department abruptly step down for personal reasons, it's almost always related either to health or scandal.

So she's either dying or the NCAA came knockin' and we're about to watch some serious slapping the little guy G5 go down, and she's fleeing a la Pete Carroll at USC.

I don't think we're there yet: SMU -- Thirty-something points, three layered popped collars, and a prescription for Valtrex after mistakenly paying for a date with a credit card. Given that they've got around 43,000 members at any given time, I wouldn't be surprised if most of us had one of them as a neighbor. I commented on Trees' site when they were announced that I didn't know how they would all fit on the stage. Trees management replied something along the lines of pixie dust and unicorns.

I hate everything about that school and really dislike listening to their smug fans when I'm there. But someday, before I die, I think we're going to win one there, and dammit, I'm going to be there to enjoy it and rub it in their snooty faces.
