I used to work out in El Paso a lot. UTEP was one of my customers. I heard stories that when UTEP was trying to recruit staff and/or faculty, HR would always make sure that the visiting flight in would be at night so the potential candidate wouldn't get a daylight view of the miles and miles of desolation. Best Mexican food in the country though. (Except Chico's tacos, which is an abomination unto the Lord that I don't understand at all)

The UNT police have this little police golf cart outfitted with little police golf cart flashy lights on top. I have on more than one occasion watched them make quite the spectacle of cuffing some frat kid and carting him away in their little flashy light police golf cart mobile. If I were an underage frat boy, that would send a pretty strong message to me to take my underage frat boy activities behind closed doors. Outside football, UNT/greek relations seem to be a little strained on the whole alcohol thing in recent years. Opine as you will, but the realities of modern litigious society has compelled universities to push their Greek organizations toward being conglomerates of choir boys. This does not encourage attendance at athletic events in plain sight of the public eye.

That's kinda old news. The UNT police started handing out underage drinking and PI tickets to the fraternities and their shenanigans have substantially curtailed. I can see the area from my seats and it's mostly empty at game time. I don't know if they're coming in the stadium or not, but they're not partying out on the hill during game time anymore.

So I'm simply not football smart enough to identify what happened last night. We came out in the first quarter just absolutely sucking, then dominated the last three quarters of the game. What changes did the coaching staff make to accomplish this?

I was really enjoying my phone showing me the video highlights. It was from the USM broadcast. When they got to Bussey's TD, they cut away before you could see the catch and cut the audio. Like all home cooked highlight reels, it made you think that Southern Miss dominated the game. Until the last when you hear the defeated broadcasters say, "And that's the last snap UNT will have to take." It was beautiful. I love curb stomping people who disrespect us. Only WE can disrespect us!
