  1. Oh dear sweet baby Jesus are you misinformed on that one.
  2. Well what do you expect? Kid probably has a student parking pass!
  3. Kid, you got some serious writing chops. Light years ahead of anything else I've ever read in the NT Daily.
  4. My original prediction of 15-0 thwarted, I see us on a solid pace for 12-2 or GTFO.
  5. After Penn State and Baylor, I just don't believe that I'll see a P5 program suffer any significant setbacks in my lifetime, FBI or no FBI. If a real threat comes anywhere near, I think division 4 becomes a very quick reality, which will be interesting because the players will be paid, will probably be employees, not students, and we'll get to see college drafts, contracts, no limits on number of years played, and free agency. I can't even begin to speculate what becomes of the rest of college athletics after that.
  6. Does Carson Palmer have another much, much, much younger brother maybe?
  7. My best guess is that they're using Sagarin rating probabilities, which I've had a hard time nailing down. UTSA is about a 3 point favorite in current ratings.
  8. Reddit did the math. 7.4% chance of pulling it off through the regular season. Drops precipitously from there with Conference Championship and Bowl Game: Cumulative Team % to win Odds Southern Miss 76.70% 76.70% UNT 51.10% 39.19% Rice 90.40% 35.43% UTEP 88.50% 31.36% FIU 81.00% 25.40% UAB 86.20% 21.89% Marshall 65.20% 14.27% LaTech 52.10% 7.44%
  9. Well, first of all, that was in jest. But East Side is also owned by an alum who makes substantial contributions, and that didn't stop the department from going after a small run of about 100 shirts that had about 1.5" X 1.5" flying worm on the front.
  10. Man, this is a gold mine! Somebody needs to go after these guys. And these guys (see their business phone number) And maybe even this guy But seriously, I'm seeing this thing all over the internet right now and I like it!
  11. I got his medical transportation right here: My god, did Gretchin wake up one morning and take a dump in this guy's corn flakes?
  12. Shit. Yes it is. Eh. Just makes the math more in favor of the point I was making.
  13. It's a honeypot!
  14. Well, they had to get IN to the stadium somehow unless they were dropped by helicopter, so there's got to be a way to get them OUT.
  15. You, sir, have clearly never ordered the nachos at Mi Tierra.
  16. Because he deserved more time!!! He was going to right the ship! It wasn't fair!!!!111!!elevnty one!!!!!!
  17. To be fair, I've lived in Texas for thirteen years now. Until UTSA got a football team, I had no idea the school existed. Since UTSA has gotten a football team, I've not heard of any of their academic programs until the cyber security mentioned in this thread. I looked up both schools in US News and World Reports. Neither one is exactly a world beater in anything. Median income for new grads at UTSA is $46,000. Median income for new grads from UNT is $45,000. So both are good, solid undergrad degrees that will get you out there working and earning a fair living. I held no ill will toward UTSA for starting a football program. I have held ill will for some of the fan encounters I've had and for some of the player behavior I've seen. I try to consider these fan encounters isolated incidents and not representative of the school as a whole. The player behavior though, rests solidly on the tolerances of the program. UTSA has been doing it quick and dirty, and if I take a step back and look at it objectively, I don't know if that's sustainable. They're still G5, and if they misstep, the NCAA will not hesitate to bring down the hammer. Given personal experiences, there are two road games that I think I'm done traveling to -- SMU and UTSA. But if it makes anybody feel better, my hatred meter for SMU is off the charts greater than it is for UTSA.
  18. In total games coached: 6-37 (.140) vs. 7-10 (.412) In 39.5% of games played one is 195% better than the other in percentage terms and 17% better in absolute numbers in the only column that matters. In first seventeen games coached: 2-15 (.118) vs 7-10 (.412) In equal number of games played, one is 249% better than the other in percentage terms and 250% better in absolute numbers in the only column that matters. To equalize the two in terms of percentage, we need to go on a thirty-three game losing streak.
  19. Is my Championship game parking pass from 2014 (2015?) still valid?
  20. Box score claims 15,348. I ain't buyin' what they're sellin'.
  21. A) I'm an idiot B) That's kinda damn funny
  22. It's an illustration of how a man in San Antonio attracts the affections of his wife.
  23. Mendoza was let go after the 2007 season. Bataille resigned February 10, 2010.
