  1. I was pretty happy with the seven bucks to watch the Southern Miss game on CUSA TV. You'll get the North Texas production crew, and they're pretty good at what they do.
  2. His biggest flaw as a freshman was inability to throw the ball away when he needed to. He has improved markedly on this. I hope Seth stays here another two years if for no other reason than I want to see Mason Fine as a senior. It's gonna be epic.
  3. Since a moment of particular confusion with one of the scanny people at the gate once, I've made it a game to get into Apogee without getting my ticket scanned. I'll either walk right on through or look at them and say, "Don't scan this! I'm saving it!" or some such nonsense.
  4. Huh. I may have to consider making a phone call in the not too distant future.
  5. I've been curious about that. If I wanted to upgrade from silver to the next level, do I have to start over at zero, or does the capital gift made for silver count toward the capital gift for the next level?
  6. From what I observe, a good portion of the people in the club enjoy going up before the game and enjoying their meal. Some then go out to their seats, some stay at tables and converse. It's the nature of the game up there. Removing the buffet until halftime would likely garner some pretty angry reactions, especially since they current remove the food at halftime. What you're suggesting would be a rushed experience in an environment where leisure is the name of the game. (And honestly, even when they go to their seats, it's different up there. There's usually like one guy who's had a couple who's actually cheering, and everybody else is looking at him in stunned silence while his wife cowers in embarrassment. The club is a source of funding, not crowd noise or cheering.)
  7. Current club seat holders can purchase single game club tickets at $95 a pop this season except for the UTSA game, which is sold out. If one wishes to get a single game club seat, one would be prudent to ask current club seat holders to purchase on their behalf. Edit: Given the extraneous contributions that club seat holders make to secure entitlement to their seats, it would ruffle a whole bunch of feathers if the general public could walk up to the ticket office window and buy single game club seats at a price that would be a significant discount and no commitment to what club seat holders pay and sing on to for a period of years.
  8. Tailgating for UTSA -- looks good Chasing tail at UTSA -- outlook not so good
  9. I don't even begin to understand the reasoning behind this.
  10. Just came in. Code is 35FOR35 Link
  11. I can't imagine it's going to be a heavy orange influence up there since those seats are more or less only for sale to current club seat holders. This may be the first time in the history of Apogee that I'm forced to sit in my actual seats.
  12. We don't just sell out and fill Apogee. We have to send overflow down to the Alamo Dome to watch it on the scoreboard.
  13. Can't make a prediction on this one, but I really, really want to believe.
  14. Would never have worked out. Their styles were too different.
  15. Somebody just posted two free tickets in section 107 with chairbacks and a parking pass in the football forum.
  16. In all honesty, it's pretty tough to get out of any school in four years.
  17. So to those of you who say you are X% ATS this year. Via what means are you doing that? Asking for a friend.
  18. We watched the Ohio game in the Alumni Pavilion back in 2013, so there is precedent.
  19. The announcer during the Southern Miss game: "The UNT offense has (defensive coordinator) guessing and guessing wrong."
  20. Smart ass kid asked me if she can start a "Residents of Room #XXX of McConnell Hall" club before Saturday.
  21. Perhaps more convincingly, money line opened at UTSA -175/UNT +155 down to UTSA -140/UNT+120 with is juuust about pick 'em.
  22. Just sent this to my daughter. Maybe she can get some TAMS kids to show up for once.
  23. Not sure, but here's the actual bio of one defensive coach Ron Mendoza from the Colleyville HS website:
  24. They've put out some mighty decent teams over the years. How have they been doing it? (This year clearly excluded)
  25. ITT - lots of misunderstanding on how betting lines work even though there are a couple explanations scattered within.
