How much are our player stipends?
oldguystudent replied to oldguystudent's topic in Mean Green Football
It's been a little while, but I think the amounts were contingent on cost of attendance. If you look at the entire set of data, the amounts don't quite correlate to what you'd expect them to. UNT was higher than A&M that year, and Boise was one of the highest. Cincinnati took home the trophy for highest award. Source from 2015-2016 -
DC's Texas Football Power Rankings
oldguystudent replied to All About UNT's topic in Mean Green Football
All that matters to me is that he's here. He's awesome. And he's got a hell of a head on his shoulders -- not some popped collar I went to all the rich kid QB camps in the suburbs douchebag. -

DRC: Weekly prediction -- UNT will knock off rival UTSA
oldguystudent replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
I honestly for the life of me can't figure out who Mac's group was interested in. Seemed like pretty much nobody. Weren't we down to something like 56 scholarship players when he left? That guy just flat out refused to recruit. -
The only data I could find was from 2015-2016 where we were paying $3,900 which put us around the middle of the conference. Does anybody have current year data on that?

We're 24 spots above Texas in this one. I kinda like seeing that.

I don't have any opinion on FAU or their fans. Haven't really encountered any of them. Schnellenberger was kinda an odd choice for their coach, but do what you gotta do to get things off the ground.

I definitely have a few choice words for some people that came after her, but fuck it, they're gone and I'm still here. I've no reason to take shit from anybody in the athletic department anymore. I also have no reason to lick anybody's boots. I make my donations, buy my tickets, and attend the games. I don't much care what they think of me anymore. As far as any interpersonal relations with current AD staff, way I see it, it's on them to call ME, not the other way around. And if they do call me, it better damn well not be to call me a liar or a dumbass as has happened in the past.

I all fairness, I met Mandy when she was here, but never dealt with her. I was a grad student who couldn't rub two nickels together and was nowhere near giving any money at all to athletics.

It's not as bad as it was. I think it was in 2015 that all but one road game, we were the sacrificial homecoming lamb, and at the time, with good reason.

Official FAU Game Score Prediction Thread

Well it only makes sense if you look at all the rankings services, the transitive property clearly outweighs any head to head competition per UTSA and Southern Miss still being ranked above us. -

I am proud. She's an amazing kid. As for parenthood, I always say better lucky than good. There are four schools we're looking at -- Princeton, Columbia, Cal Tech, and Rice. Rice has already put themselves out of the competition with the money they demand. Columbia is guaranteeing no debt, but they're demanding her mother's income as part of the equation. Princeton is saying $8,000 in debt. Cal Tech is vague. My daughter, in the face of all of this, is telling me, "You've sacrificed enough. If it comes down to money, I love Denton. I'll stay at UNT. I love the classes here." She may end up a full fledged Eagle. I would not mind this.

Today, my daughter won a scholarship that renders TAMS 100% free ride. I'm not writing anymore checks. Soooo humblebrag. That given, if this team wins the CUSA championship game, I do hereby agree to upgrade my club seats one level up. So it shall be and so it has ever been, amen. You may hold me to this if it comes to fruition.

Post-UTSA student email sent out by AD office

In today's world, don't you just tweet something like, "You won't believe THIS comeback!" with a link to the video and seven hundred pages of the story? -
I just did the math. In my life, I have seen UNT play 52 games in person. The record for those games is 26-26. Given that my first three years were during the era of he who must not be named, I never thought I would reach this point.

Hell yeah he is! Congrats Mason!

I think I found your fuzzy math issue. (I'm sorry. I promise I'm not one of those annoying they're/their/there jerks. I just saw this and chuckled at it. Nothing more, nothing less. (And three times equal!)

Today, at an accounting firm, on the fall tax deadline day, I've had several conversations with people who not only heard about the UNT miracle drive, but claim to have either listened to it on the radio or watched it. Did we just get our first taste of "I was totes there" t-shirt fans?
