Does Matthew Brune graduate this year? I hope not. He's become my main source of news writing about UNT football. I'd love for him to stick around Denton as part of the DRC, but he's enjoyed so much early success that I imagine he'll hear the siren song of the money of bigger news markets and move on to broader, more well heeled readers.

Yeah, I was briefly miffed that it took me ten minutes from the turn on to Bonnie Brae until I got into the parking lot, but then I realized that meant that there were going to be people at this game. But still, they've got a single lane for Black, Blue/Red, Yellow, and whatever that grass lot is. Within that single lane are invariably numerous people who are confused and simply stop, get out of their car, look around, and try to figure out what to do next. That ain't gonna fly long-term.

I don't know that the G5 schools are any less cutthroat. We pay less, but it's not like we've got a higher tolerance for down seasons. The difference is that in G5, you lose, you're gone. You win, you move up to P5. In P5, you lose, you're gone, but with tens of millions of dollars. You win, you're probably STILL gone, because you couldn't beat Saban.

See I've experienced that from UTSA and SMU -- SMU so much that I refuse to go to any further games down in Dallas against them. Not to belittle what Army fans did tonight in any way though.
