  1. What are those two questions? Sounds interesting.
  2. Todd Dodge is on the cusp of yet another Texas 6A undefeated championship season, ringing up offensive points on unwitting opponents like they've been roofied at prom. Maybe Frank Wilson should give him a call about that offense. I'm sure Giovanni would be thrilled to be reunited.
  3. Totally. Scrambling technique no good. Cop took him down from the blind side with little effort.
  4. Don't know about Orr's incident or appropriateness of suspension. Starting to know that Mayfield will be the next incarnation of Manziel. I hope he gets drafted by the Browns.
  5. Without doing it on purpose, I kept a ticket from each home game this season. I was thinking it might be a nice idea to do a framing job with all the tickets, and the game score listed under each one, something along the lines of "2017 Perfect at Home" across the top. I suppose endeavoring in something like this would cost at least a forearm if not an entire limb, but if one were to pursue such a thing, where might one do it?
  6. I did go. Friend got the #1, 2 chili dogs, onion rings, and a frothy orange concoction. I got the #2, 1 chili dog, 1 chili burger, onion rings, and a Coke zero. Funny thing, downtown Atlanta. It's really tough to find a Pepsi.
  7. Welp, Florida is off the table. Dan Mullen to Florida: Hey Dan, there's some other guy named Dan on the phone:
  8. Confirmed: Seth Littrell to A&M via Lubbock and Tempe.
  9. I have omitted the Championship Game from this list. Is one of these not an FBS bowl? 1 Rose 2 Sugar 3 Air Force Reserve 4 New Orleans 5 Cure 6 Las Vegas 7 New Mexico 8 Camellia 9 Boca Raton 10 Frisco 11 Gasparilla 12 Bahamas 13 Potato 14 Birmingham 15 Armed Forces 16 Dollar General 17 Hawai'i 18 Heart of Dallas 19 Quick Lane 20 Cactus 21 Independence 22 Pinstripe 23 Foster Farms 24 Texas 25 Military 26 Camping World 27 Alamo 28 Holiday 29 Belk 30 Sun 31 Music City 32 Arizona 33 Cotton 34 Taxslayer 35 Liberty 36 Fiesta 37 Orange 38 Outback 39 Peach 40 Citrus
  10. Ah. Yeah, I saw a few teams with 11 games, but didn't dig deep enough to see if any were playing next week. Good catch.
  11. Well, they're going somewhere. I just counted both lists three times. I count exactly 80 bowl slots and exactly 80 teams with six or more wins. Here's hoping they go to the Armed Forces Bowl and those two teams try to out dirty each other.
  12. Yeah, if I'm looking at things correctly, Alabama doesn't even play in the conference championship now, but I bet they're still in playoff conversation. I mean, hell, that win over Mercer cements it!
  13. Is there any hope whatsoever that they get a shot at the playoffs with a 13-0 record in a "P6" conference, or do the realities of actually being a G5 set in, and they get a lovely NY6 consolation prize?
  14. I was just outside Atlanta this weekend, and didn't realized UNT was in town until Saturday morning. Bummer. I ran into a few Mean Green fans in the Atlanta airport, so it looks like either somebody made the trip, or people living in Dallas are starting to be a bit more proud of their alma mater. Also, I found myself smack dab in the middle of the crowd exiting the GT/Georgia game as my host, not a football at all, told me that I needed to try The Varsity. Those big P5 schools have a LOT of people going to their games! Yikes!
  15. My phone popped up a story today Chip Kelly to UCLA. Didn't check for validity, but that sure would be interesting.
  16. I know I'm alone here, but I really liked the gray jerseys.
  17. I believe it was smug satisfaction for ECU in that they could demand ODU and Charlotte come to the conference, then immediately bolt to the American.
  18. There was a thread over the weekend where somebody went in overnight and downvoted every post, apparently regardless of content or poster. Somebody's just trollin' hard.
  19. So (officially announced and gravely inflated) 2015 average attendance: 13,631 Officially announced (and somewhat but not nearly as egregiously inflated) 2017 average attendance: 22,362 2015 season capacity: 45% 2017 season capacity: 73% And seriously, there is no...frickin'...way that there were 10,155 people at the WKU game in 2015. No...frickin'...way. The times. They are a'changin'.
  20. Don't overlook Rice. That's usin' your noodle!
  21. Before graphic emojis became the norm to the extent that they apparently have their own movie, I always like to think of <3 as the emoji for asshat.
  22. Across the board, I got: Sagarin: 94 CBS: 66 USA Today: 45 RealTime RPI: 39 All...over...the...freakin'...map. Which if any of these do bowl committees look at?
  23. I was looking at Sagarin, which for all its faults, has been pretty good about tying out to Vegas odds for me.
  24. Just glancing at what they've done this year, they would definitely be a challenging opponent. Strong running game (eeep!), strong defense (meh, check THIS out!). Presently, we'd be about a 14-point dog at a neutral site.
