  1. Yeah, and McCarney came from Florida and Todd Dodge won several thousand state championships in high school.
  2. You've been free to purchase them for a few years now. $75 per seat per season, shuttle to/from Eastside/Apogee, free beer after the game, free tailgate at Apogee, and a t-shirt.
  3. Somebody please explain to me why Chad Morris keeps popping up as such a hot commodity for these big time P5 coaching jobs. Let's discount his 2-10 first year campaign. He's since 12-12 (5-7, 7-5) at SMU. Hardly lighting the world on fire, and don't even for a second think about giving me the line that he's creating mediocrity out of a down and out program with no resources. I seriously don't understand it. At all.
  4. No cable here. Looks like it's on ESPN2 and I'm SOL.
  5. I have some Saturday morning obligations that will prevent me from getting to any of the watch parties on time. Is CUSA streaming for the usual seven bucks?
  6. Will there be swimming pools at the bowl game hotel? Asking the important questions.
  7. We actually get considerable love on r/cfb and the vast majority of the P5 fans on there aren't "SEC! SEC! SEC!" t-shirt wearing douchebags.
  8. It's just reddit having fun, man. Relax. r/cfb is one of the best college communities on the internet.
  9. I...I'm not sure how to take this:
  10. Now that is an interesting question. It's been several years. The CUSA commissioner has changed as has the UNT AD. That real estate is a tough sell for any purpose if you can't put students in it because it's surrounded by students, and they aren't...well...I wouldn't exactly try turning that into a family section.
  11. Without getting into current use or lack therein of those seats on the student side, the origin is that they used to be part of the general student section. Thing is, our students were a little too creative for opposing team sensitivities, so they whined to CUSA about it, and the conference came back and forbade UNT from ever letting students sit there again. The perfect solution has not yet been found, but tread carefully in your criticisms.
  12. Meanwhile, at the last home game of 2017....
  13. Texas overall didn't do so hot this year. Poll
  14. Official attendance -- 1,513. This sport has quite a ways to go. I suspect it'll be next year a la Seth Littrell in football.
  15. Think I'm curious about is how these big P5 positions get filled in ten seconds flat while G5s have to hire expensive consulting firms to conduct "national searches" that takes weeks or months to conclude under the cover of night armed with cloak and dagger.
  16. Let's just please not pull a LaTech and end up shut out of a bowl game because we feel a given bowl is beneath us. What a difference a couple of years makes, eh?
  17. Fresno made one hell of a turnaround.
  18. It's been a good long while since I've made either one of those things. We may have to get you out to a game for a special edition tailgate next year.
  19. Between this GIF and the Madi video, I'll be in my bunk.
  20. I just watched the replay of Darden's run. He wasn't Chancellor fast, but damn can he move and make a tackler miss!
  21. Tough call. They beat some quality opponents and that triple option -- well, we need to put up some serious offense against that.
  22. In an game which neither team wanted to play, let alone win, the Miners of UTEP defeated the Mean Green of North Texas 20-17 in front of an announced crowd of 8,305. A couple pictures popped up in my facebook memories this morning. What a difference a couple of years makes:
  23. I'm with ya on the South Carolina/Alabama part, but I don't see where we would take land from Tech. West Virginia has most of the territory you mention. Edit: Nevermind. The link goes to week 11. Update to week 13, and it makes sense.
