Now that is an interesting question. It's been several years. The CUSA commissioner has changed as has the UNT AD. That real estate is a tough sell for any purpose if you can't put students in it because it's surrounded by students, and they aren't...well...I wouldn't exactly try turning that into a family section.

Without getting into current use or lack therein of those seats on the student side, the origin is that they used to be part of the general student section. Thing is, our students were a little too creative for opposing team sensitivities, so they whined to CUSA about it, and the conference came back and forbade UNT from ever letting students sit there again. The perfect solution has not yet been found, but tread carefully in your criticisms.
