I think it's purely a PR thing. TD has garnered such pure hatred from some people that RD is simply guilty by association. The mob mentality of public opinion dictates that the two are inexorably linked and that they either walk on water while healing the sick or they are incapable of walking on the sidewalk and chewing gum at the same time. I've got my opinions on dad. The jury on the son is still out for me.

Fixed. All cynicism aside, I looked up Riley's Rivals sheet, and he had some pretty impressive offers. The kid might have some game in him, but he's got one helluva PR challenge awaiting him. I am curious to see how he copes under the pressure of a substantial number of detractors after his apparent infallible god-like existence in high school. If he can play through it, then I'll agree with those who say he's a gamer. ETA -- The other thing that comes to mind is that there's probably no QB in the nation with a better understanding of his dad's mystical magical offensive system. Maybe we can get less deer in the headlights sideline staring action next season. (Not intended to be a jab at Vizza in any way, shape or form)

Really. I don't care either way. I still think Riley needs to eat a little more. In the video you posted, he scored the touchdown, but I didn't exactly see him pop up off the ground. The desire may be there, but the strength/bulk isn't yet.

Simple solution. Rip the seats out of the student section. Replace with rails at each level for leaning on/hanging derogatory signs about opposing team. Bring supply of two thousand Saddam Hussein heads and hand out at top of student section.

I'm a first year student. I have no idea what expectations are. During football season, the timbre of this board was easily understood. Now that basketball's here, and looking at post game comments even after wins, I've learned that I can set my watch to gmg members bitching about something. A win like this takes character. I like what I see.

I saw, I noticed, and I completely agree with your assessment. I consider it an indictment of the lack of defense in the Big XII that OU was able to score over 60 points a game pulling that crap.

If true, it's bittersweet. I need all the financial breaks I can get for the next couple years. I wonder if the athletic fee would even be affected since it wouldn't kick in for X years.

I don't know if I dare ask the origin, but I'd like to know the reason for the ban. It can't be because of cleanliness. Surely tossed tortillas attract no more birds/bugs than spent pizza boxes, corn dog sticks and popcorn boxes. Are we worried that an errantly thrown tortilla with defective sharps edges will take out the eyes of a visiting recruit?
