  1. Eddie DelGado returns?
  2. From what I've been told, do not, under any circumstances, pee in the street in the French Quarter.
  3. Now we'll NEVER know who's getting recruited to A&M! Stealthy!
  4. Be curious to see if he tries to run an actual offense out there. I still want to know whose idea it was to do nothing but run up the middle for 12 games in 2015. Did Mac just outright overrule him? Is that who he really is offensively? I need answers, man!
  5. ponyfans.com is surprisingly subdued on this. Whole thread about admitting that they're one of the have nots in the G5 and that their coaching search just doesn't generate excitement. I was pretty surprised to read that. I guess not even a cardigan is enough protection against the kick in the balls of your coach fleeing before your bowl game for better pastures.
  6. My run-ins with that guy say that he's a booster boot licker of epic proportions. Texas is gonna love him.
  7. I used to think he was insane. As the years go on, I love him more and more.
  8. That music is way outside my genre wheelhouse. Can't tell if it's good or not. Is it good? Loved watching him play. One of the few bright spots on an otherwise inept Dodge defense.
  9. He was doing his usual hit after every play bullshit. They were loving all over him at the start of the game, but never said anything about why he left. As far as I could tell, he never came back in. I only lament that he's enjoying victory tonight. Enjoy it while you can, you slimy bastard. They're gonna relieve you of duty and put you behind a desk in a basement someday.
  10. He would've gone 0-12 were it not for a miracle interception at the end of the Western Kentucky game in 2008. That would be transitional FBS Western Kentucky at the time, whose 2 wins were against FCS Eastern Kentucky and Murray St.
  11. Huh. Interesting. No ill will intended.
  12. I've been talking to TAMS students about why they would rather not stay at UNT, preferring UTD if none of the elites come through. Universal answer -- "I won't get into the best med schools/grad programs if I stay at UNT." My daughter is on the fence because she's been looking at it through a different lens. Whereas the other kids are looking for a cookie cutter pedigree, my kid sees opportunity that might not be available at other schools. She's already in an electrical engineering research lab making decisions, effectively as a college freshman. There are a select few, very elite schools where she would indeed get even better hands on opportunities, but failing admission there, she tells me she'd rather stay at UNT and exploit the rampant opportunities. For the brightest of the bright, athletics don't mean a damn thing. It DOES matter out of the school of business because business is really weird on emphasizing small talk like that, but for other fields, to borrow from a very dated political campaign phrase, it's the academics, stupid! I'm a sports fan. I'm not inherently against a student athletic fee. What I am against is us alumni, who are hopefully gainfully employed, aggressively pushing for more and more out of the students when we have the disposable income, they have the debt, and we are the primary beneficiaries of an improved athletic program.
  13. Probably. Too lazy to go look, but let me tell you, I abused the HELL out of that printing fee. Thousands of pages printed. Suck it computer lab!
  14. When I did the screenshot, I didn't notice that this is 15 of 24 , so there are nine fees not listed.
  15. Good for him. FIU totally screwed him. He deserves this, though I'm a bit surprised that a program of Oregon's stature would gamble on someone so relatively green. They may have hired a real diamond in the rough though. Hope he kicks ass and takes names out there.
  16. I need to talk to work about this on Monday. That weekend is sandwiched between my taking this week off and the week of Christmas off, (and yet another week in January) and I'd probably want to take Friday and Monday off that weekend to make it leisurely. I have the PTO available, so we'll see.
  17. Bottom line: My benefit, not my dime.
  18. The system works!
  19. I like this. I like it a lot.
  20. Oklahoma, LSU, and Alabama came to Denton?
  21. Good catch. Thought it seemed low relative to the total amount owed.
  22. This is my child's spring semester bill, exclusive of room and board: $422 or 29% of her cost of attendance (exclusive of room and board) is fees for one semester. Multiply that over four years, and we get $6,752. It ain't chump change.
  23. I don't know the figure, but it's poor. Very poor.
  24. $4.25 X 15 = 63.75 per semester for 15 hours 63.75 X 2 = $127.50 per year Now let's go your way and assume everybody is taking 12 hours (hint: they aren't) $4.25 X 12 = $51 per semester for 12 hours $51 X 2 - $102 per year The latter figure is what the athletic department is selling. Still, only a twenty-seven dollar variance. Let's average that out to 13.5 hours per semester, and you get $114.75 a year. Let's round that to $115. I'm happy to increase my annual contributions by $115 because that's chump change. Are you?
