  1. Ok, I'm not googling this. If memory serves, the pilot was actually an episode of another show in which the main woman character drives through Mayberry and gets caught in Andy's speed trap where he serves as both sheriff and justice of the piece. I don't remember the name of the show.
  2. Today makes me wonder. What will make my daughter sad in the future? The death of a Survivor season?
  3. That is really an interesting point. There are already many taxes in place based on behavior. Alcohol and cigarettes would be the most obvious examples. I think the federal government would have one HELL of a time passing an abortion tax, but it wouldn't surprise me at all to see one or more of the southern states do it and use this decision as precedent.
  4. I am consistently amused at people who think the tax code could be a single page long. "Just tax everything at 15%! Woot!" Yeah...No.
  5. Perhapth, but ith difficult when we all have to lithp our etheth.
  6. A movie? They've made a movie of my life? No. That is the absolute truth.
  7. And requiring the Mean Green Brigade to belt out the sweet, sweet tunes of Enrique Iglesias?
  8. As a tax accountant, I looked forward to being employed forever.
  9. And serve tapas at the stadium?
  10. Then shouldn't we have one HELL of a soccer program?
  11. I met my ex-wife in 1996. Stuck around until 2008 or 2010, depending on how you want to define things. She had a lunar birthday, so there was the solar calendar date that corresponded to the lunar date (static, and on her American ID), the actual solar date that the lunar date fell upon in the year of her birth (static, and I'm only marginally sure of what date that is), and the actual lunar date (floating anywhere from mid-January to late-February). So every year, there were three possible dates that could be her birthday. I never figured out which one I was supposed to acknowledge, and never got it right once. Is this normal? In marriage it is. Marriage. Not even once.
  12. I'm looking forward to a....wait for it...healthy debate.
  13. Umm...psst...Mr. Asylum Keeper? It appears as though the inmates are starting to have visions of grandeur again.
  14. Wow. There's a picture of a Redskins helmet on page 51 of a publication I once picked up only in a moment of most dire boredom before I had internet on my phone while waiting for an appointment with a professor. My life is over.
  15. 30 wins or Johnny Jones is totally fired.
  16. Still quite a ways to go, but considering from whence we came...
  17. That Rick doesn't go out and publicly pat himself on the back for everything he's done doesn't mean he's not bringing in the cash. I've mentioned many times that I don't understand his perennial cloak and dagger tactics, but he gets it done. Without Rick, there's no Apogee, no CUSA, no Mac, no Benford, no hope of baseball, and no hope of eventually being a real player in CUSA. The man is tireless and bends over backward for UNT. Some here apparently have some personal issues with him. Doesn't mean he's not doing his job and doing it well. Edit - Incidentally, if anyone wants to approach Rick about some long term, unorthodox giving plans, something tells me he'll take your phone call.
  18. Something something unintelligible drawl Friday morning scatter shoot - The Ticket
  19. Steady as a rock, but I shoot with this hand - The Waco Kid
  20. There is a word I'm thinking of. It's a magic word. It can be a noun, an adjective, an adverb, a transitive verb, an intransitive verb, an interjection and an exclamation. It can describe pain, pleasure, hate and love. As one of the most useful and most frequently uttered words in the English language, I give absolutely zero of this word what somebody on a CUSA message board has to say about Apogee.
  21. Ah, I see it now. Thanks for the clarification.
  22. So....then North Texas is 338 miles from Denton? I know it's a long walk from the Fouts parking lot to Apogee, but this is ridiculous!
  23. Didn't seem that way when I drunkenly hugged you at the Houston game last year! Was that really a flask in your pocket?
  24. If it's going up on UNT property, will it be the first convention center in the nation with absolutely no designated outdoor smoking area?
  25. God, I haven't heard that name for so long, I thought you were implying I knew some self defense killing dude in Florida.
