Yeah, I was pretty pissed at a Tuesday night game until I realized it's the day after extension season. Should be able to sneak out early on Tuesday. The two home games prior are actually on good weekends. Extended deadlines on a Monday blow.

But...but...letting in young (probably broke) alumni ruins my exclusivity! Keep in mind that the new alumni section isn't the best in Apogee. It's over kinda sandwiched between students and visiting fans. If they want property alumni side or club seats, they've got to pay like everyone else with what ends up a small discount in overall expenditures. As for letting them in the mean green room at basketball games, I simply don't see the problem. Then again, screw 'em. I remember that particular young alum over there drinking beer on a couch once. He should be banned for life. Jesus. We have dire need for butts in the seats, but only if they pass muster to get through the velvet rope! And they better have the hand signals down, dammit!

Yeah, tough sell getting fbs opponents in the Kibbie Dome. Unless Wright Waters comes calling, I don't see how they're viable in fbs much longer.

I camped out twice last year. Had a blast, but decided it's a young man's game. Especially if the festivities start again at 7am Saturday morning for a 6pm kickoff. I'm just not built for that anymore. Figure I'll make 4.5 games this year (the Tuesday affair is up in the air). I'll allocate two of those to stay over Saturday night. Be Ward Cleaver for the other 2.5 games.

I blame the UNT dancers for global warming. They're so hot, the Mean Green Brigade won't even wear their full uniforms! Thank God we've got those giant fans to help keep us cool this year!

Oh man. I remember listening to that game and texting you in utter disbelief. Things are so, so much better these days.

I produced a single child who will likely have some form of association with UNT in a few years. So sue me and charge the damages to my carbon credit account.

Rear projection, 55" console. Not gonna upgrade until that thing explodes. So it takes up half my living room. It also adds a nice bit of shelf space on top.

Pure curiosity on my part. I don't know a single person even remotely affiliated with that campus. I just randomly wondered if they're considered "students" in the regard that they could attend games if they wanted. I would guess not if they don't pay the same athletic fee that Denton students do.

I've been here for four years. Here's what I've seen in that time. 2008: It looks like 6th grade recess, everybody go long, in a broken down stadium that looks like it was built by Soviet concrete design team rejects. 2012: The stadium is built, and essentially paid for between student fees, donors, and Apogee. We have a BCS caliber coach, a new conference, and a competitive team that actually wins every few years. 2008: We had a good men's basketball team with an up and coming coach and 89 feet of stink on the women's side. 2012: We have a men's coach from Marquette, a women's coach from Wake forest, and a lottery pick roaming the floor of the super pit. 2008: Karl Benson was begging us to join his crappy WAC conference so we could travel to the Kibbie Dome to play the exciting Vandals. 2012: Karl Benson is crying in his cheerios as we head off to play Rice, Tulsa, Tulane, UTEP and LA Tech in CUSA. 2008: My only diamond fix was drinking Miller Lite behind the outfield wall at Lovelace Field. (OK, that was pretty awesome) 2012: Baseball is on the horizon in one of the truly premiere baseball conferences in the nation. Seriously. CUSA is to baseball what the ACC is to football. Yeah, Rick can't raise money or get things done for shit. Undefeated seasons and national championships with BJs at the door for all season ticket holders or he's gone!

Well, I started watching UNT in 2008, so it would definitely be that time Dodge...oh..nevermind. Gotta go with the win over Indiana last season because it was the first win I ever saw in person.
