In retrospect, there were some fairly nifty schemes on offense Saturday. But if you put your quarterback in the middle of a Kansas corn field, and he's incapable of hitting the North American continent, you put your kicker six inches in front of Mount Everest and he can't hit granite, and you give your receivers a bath in super glue and honey and they can't catch a housefly in a barn, it's tough to see results.
So, honest question. Lack of coaching on fundamentals before getting tricky on schemes or just simple lack of D1 talent on the roster top to bottom? I'm honestly not football smart enough to tell the difference.
As for the delay of game, someone explain to me how UNT took a time out, then had 7 seconds on the play clock when the time out was over. There's clearly a rule I don't understand.
