It's April 1st. I went to the letterman's website, but can't find the ballot.

On that note, without the benevolent financial contributions from @flyonthewall in exchange for nothing of particular value, I would likely have never completed my grad school endeavors at UNT -- I simply wouldn't have been able to survive. And now as a chain reaction, my daughter is in TAMS kicking ass, taking names, doing some shit with NASA that I don't understand, and making so much money in scholarships, I had to explain it to the IRS. There are plenty of world views upon which we disagree, but his intentions and heart are solid. Questioning them predicated upon a departed AD two years after the fact is fishing in water long since passed under the bridge. Happy Easter everybody. I'm spending it unraveling the finances of some jerk who thought it would be a splendid idea to go day trading in royalty trusts.

The Stand, UTSA, and Army, though somehow in the Army game, I KNEW we were going to win on that last possession -- like it was a comfortable no doubter.

Football -- Won nine games and the division, played in the conference championship and a bowl game. Perfect 6-0 at home. Men's Basketball -- 20 wins and the CBI championship Women's Soccer -- Won the conference tournament and went to the NCAAs Women's Volleyball -- Won the conference championship and went to the NIT Women's basketball -- Improved to 17 wins and finished over .500 for the first time I can remember Softball -- Holding steady at 7-4 in conference, one game out of first place It's much easier being green these days.

Helluva a year for UNT athletics overall. Great win. Kinda surprised the students didn't storm the court so we could argue about whether that was appropriate or not. Kinda disappointed on that.

I only ever paid for a parking permit my first semester. Then I figured out that if you get there early enough, there is ample street parking. When it switched to all night classes, it was the same deal, and I figured hey the walk's not gonna kill ya tubby.

So I can't comment on the Johnny Jones part of that assertion as I don't spend a LOT of time in the basketball forum. But as to the former name contained therein, I can say with great certainty that I don't recall Rick ever giving the man an iota of credit for anything -- ever.

As fun as this has been, CIT and CBI don't draw a whole bunch of media attention regardless of who's playing in it. Getting to the NIT championship game would get eyes.

Two things 1) Depending on how you view things in 2018, that might seem to some to be a rather archaic practice 2) If they are tasked with guiding football recruits around at games, they should be the LAST people on campus making videos like that Edit: Well this explains why I've never heard of them:

Spring is concert season when my attentions shift from sports to music. It's all good in my social calendar book.
