  1. I was looking at the donor list, and found this page that shows how many donors we have, how much we take in, and how we stack up against the conference and TCU/SMU. Link
  2. Without digging back through the video, was pass interference a spot of the foul penalty back then? They called interference on Houston in the end zone and put the ball on the one. It looked like the line of scrimmage was farther back than the 15. Overall, what a completely different game. That no step place kicker frightened me.
  3. It's a new season. Let's beat them again -- this time in San Antonio where I don't think we've come out victorious yet.
  4. As a season ticket holder not willing to give them up, is there a way I can financially protest these shitty weeknight games? That makes five games this season that are gonna suck balls for me. The first three are an annual occurrence and no fault of the athletic department. This year, there are FOUR games before the October 15th deadline. Then, one of the remaining two is this midnight weeknight bullshit, so I really only get ONE full day of football in 2018. I'm just ranting here, but this season is gonna suck a giant bag of donkey dicks timewise for me. You want people in the G-damn stands, make it easier, not harder. Edit: I eagerly await the usual excuses and justifications. The department is always right, and the rest of us always need to be better fans and give more money. I know. I know.
  5. That would surprise me. I think Toronto and Tampa are the only two remaining MLB teams to have turf.
  6. Like all things even remotely related to politics, I could interpret this gif in one of two directions.
  7. I'm going to Vegas tomorrow. Can I bet on these games months in advance?
  8. Did they pay $50,000 to a national consulting firm to find the best bid?
  9. I must've been a few deep because I don't remember that aspect of it. I just remember crisp streaming, though I didn't particularly like listening to the Southern Miss announcers home cooking analysis of the game. Still better than anything I've seen on ESPN3 with their jerky picture and spare "couldn't get a job anywhere else" ex D2 football waterboys in the booth. Then again, I haven't been particularly good about watching road games for the past few years. Suffering through Dodge then Mac's unwillingness to bother even showing up to road games kinda took it out of me. I know things are better now, but it's taken some time for me to accept the new realities.
  10. I liked the Facebook broadcast the best last year. I never have had much luck with getting ESPN3 to my television, but these days, my computer monitors are big enough with good sound and comfortable chair, that I'm fine with just watching it on desktop.
  11. 7 home games in 2022? What kind of bizarroland is this?
  12. #16 quarterback in all of college football. When the HELL will this coaching staff get it's act together in recruiting?
  13. I hate debating you on these matters because I have a great deal of respect for you. This particular argument is the No True Scotsman fallacy.
  14. Is he renting?
  15. Wow, this year's schedule is brutal for me. Four games before the October 15th deadline, then one of the remaining two on a Thursday (not confirmed, but CUSA has been forcing those on us for a while now).
  16. Next to be seen as picture in DRC "breaking news" article.
  17. This really only works if each and every room in that dorm has steel curtains.
  18. I'm still miffed that the school's radio station call letters do not accurately reflect the university. It's like the welcome mat is spelled wrong!
  19. I prefer the current black lettering in the end zones over the forthcoming white lettering, but if we keep winning, you can make it zebra striped fuchsia for all I care.
  20. There was a semester in 2010 where I had a morning class in downtown Dallas, a 2pm class in Denton, and a 6pm class in Frisco. This particular combination was the only available way to progress toward my degree that particular semester. The professors for all classes were tenured out of Denton, not rent-an-instructors. Nonetheless, I signed up to take classes in Denton, not be some academic freeway flier because it was "convenient" for some myopic planner to set things up that way. I'm fine with Frisco and Dallas and fricking Cisco, TX if that's what they want to do, but no student should be compelled to drive about all these different locations to complete their degree.
  21. I can't imagine for a second that Chad Morris is going to overlook us. He sure as hell didn't in Dallas. Still hoping for the best.
  22. I'd be hesitant to point fingers at UTEP and Rice. There but by the grace of God went we a few short years ago.
  23. When I realized how consistently dirty they play, especially Captain Cheapshot out there in the secondary, I was more than happy to let them off the schedule. I was kinda disappointed in their fans at Apogee as well. Maybe I'm just being idyllic, but I expected better.
