  1. This really is the only option, or we might go decades without people knowing who we are:
  2. To be fair, I don't tend to be much of a stadium concessions guy no matter where I sit. I'm looking through all those menus, and I don't see much that I would generally want. I'm by no means anything along the lines of some crystal worshiping yoga practicing vegan, but stadium fare tends to be a bit much for me. Age has a way of punishing me exponentially more with each passing year for such indulgences.
  3. I guess concessions got its own website last year. It doesn't look updated for this season, but here's every menu from 2017. Kona Ice needs to make some changes. Their 12 oz Kona ice comes to 25c/ounce. Their 16 oz Kona Ice also comes to 25c/ounce. Their 17 oz Kona Ice comes to $29.4c an ounce! The hell, Kona Ice? What happened to you? Your ice used to be...wait for it...cool, man!
  4. I struggle to imagine that if he failed to qualify at North Texas that the Naval Academy would be an easier road to traverse.
  5. I should've invested in aluminum and InBev during the Dodge years. Lord knows I personally kept both industries afloat.
  6. How can I boycott something that I already don't patronize? Question, no info.
  7. I don't think I have ever bought a concession at Apogee except maybe a frozen lemonade, a favorite of my daughter's when she was younger in the Fouts days.
  8. Didn't Ray bail when Dodge stopped having his Dog Pound?
  9. Army? How they gonna win any games now that Rhyan England is graduated and out terrorizing his battalion with explosives instead of hunting knees in the secondary?
  10. Have the rules changed? I thought the O'Bannon ruling left us college fans without the ability to purchase swag with player names on it. That's why we could buy #5 Jerseys 7 years ago, but never "Dunbar" jerseys. Does the full cost of tuition stipend alter that?
  11. Am I reading correctly that he gets a guaranteed $1.375 million this year? I looked him up recently and seem to recall that he had a contract for 2018 that was substantially larger than previous years, so that may have had something to do with it. Edit: I think that was last year's contract. Bummer. Link
  12. Well, the first iteration of WAC exodus went and made their own conference.
  13. Is there an old lady in there with so many children she doesn't know what to do?
  14. Cut to about eighteen months from now when three quarters of the conference bolts and the remaining schools drop football. @Benson'd
  15. I knew that SMU was grossly delusional as to their lot in the FBS pecking order. I didn't realize it was endemic to the entire conference. I should've guessed with those ridiculous P6 downs markers they used last year.
  16. I don't know but $350k seems a bit steep. Does a new bus cost that much? Edit: Well, just glancing at some tour bus dealerships, they run just shy of a million new. I had no idea.
  17. I would like nothing more than to go back to school a third time, start at the bottom of a new career a third time, and accrue a third decade of student debt. I'M IN! FOR REDDIT!
  18. CUSA has lost a lot of its luster since the creation of the American with departures of Houston, Tulane, and East Carolina combined with the now 82-year-old Wayne Graham of Rice being put out to pasture. The league got two bids this year -- Southern Miss and Fla. Atlantic. That's not bad, but they've dropped from being one of the "big six" down to 11th out of 31 in RPI as a conference. Meanwhile, the Sunbelt has risen to 7 (no doubt with help from Coastal Carolina). The SEC and B1G are aggressively taking over baseball at the expense of the Big Wests and CUSAs of the world. It's a slower pace than football because of scholarship limitations, but it's happening. Nonetheless, this is most certainly a geographic area that can put together a good, competitive team in a short period of time -- until the B1G and SEC get rid of that pesky, parity causing scholarship limit. But as far as I know, all the former plans for baseball a couple three years ago have been completely abandoned and forgotten, and it doesn't seem like a priority at all in the current situation. I'd like to see it, but I'm done holding my breath.
  19. /r/cfb is the best college football forum on the internet for covering the entirety of the sport. I need to go find the thread. @Christopher Walker can you send me the link on facebook so I can look it up when I get back on my own computer? (No wise man EVER goes to reddit on his work computer)
  20. Hmm... I never received that "click here to visit your account" email. I tried to login to my account via the meangreensports.com website, and it no longer recognizes my email address. Glad I've got receipt for payment on hand, because I bet this is gonna get ugly. Edit: Found the email in my junk folder and activated my account, but it reflects nothing more than my name. No evidence of having purchased tickets or making my annual contribution. Is the MGSF a separate login? I can't seem to find any such thing anymore.
  21. So in that regard, the ticket office, I see nothing has changed. Lovely. This is honestly a reason that I rarely do road games, and when I do, I don't bother buying them from the UNT ticket office. Not gonna drive nine hours to be turned away at the gate.
  22. I guess my memory fades. I could've sworn that he vehemently supported Shanbour over Fine before either was definitively named the starter. Then I could've sworn that he thought Fine was the wrong choice. But I get older and drink beer, so the memories get a bit hazy.
  23. I thought I recalled Vito being ultra super fanboy for Shanbour before Fine was established as the conference first teamer that he is.
  24. Boise, undefeated, pre-Pac12 Utah, Rose Bowl TCU and now UCF are a threat to their existence. Utah and TCU successfully leveraged their success into invites to the big boys table. Boise, UCF, and the school that started it all -- 1984 BYU, get left out in the cold scrambling for crumbs.
