  1. Wow. Didn't notice that. It's pretty funny to hear the Lewisville stadium announcer refer to Allen when reporting district scores. "And over at McCracken Stadium, The University of Allen leads Plano 56-19"
  2. Boy have I got the inappropriate "what, too soon?" response to this. Sadly, attachment and reanimation technology isn't enough up to snuff to mention it.
  3. Given that his D1 winning pct. is .379, 2.7 times better than his football counterpart, I would give him a pretty good shot at it. Nonetheless, that would surely justify everything he did here and continue to hold him in some sort of demigod status.
  4. I want to see the half student at Cy Lakes
  5. Fine. I'm going with B.
  6. I give it an I. Incomplete.
  7. In five years, can we do a thread about what a great coach he is and how he could've won here and how we should all still be worshiping the very ground he walks on?
  8. That conference is known as The American Athletic now.
  9. Club seats presently require a minimum $500 annual mean green club donation. Pardon my formatting. The mobile interface is brutally unforgiving. Ithink everyone who gives a single dollar at all to UNT athletics should be considered a member of the Mean Green Club. It brings more people inside the effort, where they can be targeted for bigger donations over time. Use membership levels to encourage people to give more each year.
  10. I just listened to it. I think what he's hinting at is that he wants people to commit to mean green club membership for X number of years and that the minimum annual membership contribution will likely be contingent on the number of years you commit. There is absolutely no renewal on the stadium gift that we all paid (or in my case, are still paying) at the beginning of the club membership. I wouldn't be surprised, however, to see the minimum mean green club donation jump up to something like $1,000 a year. That wouldn't surprise me at all.
  11. And one after. Dodge has never shown that he's a mechanic. He's merely shown that he can put a Ferrari into cruise control when handed the keys. But only in a wealthy school zone, never on the FBS freeway.
  12. Line is 15 points. Who wants to make some easy peasy money?
  13. According to r/cfb, where Texas fans are in total meltdown, Strong and Gilbert had a handshake deal, but the Board of Regents shot it down and sent Gilbert a revised contract with reduced terms to which he said thanks but no thanks. Now the pres. is trying to patch it all up. I'm enjoying this soap opera something fierce.
  14. Like I said, it was per USA Today. I just did a sort for CUSA and copied the data to here.
  15. His farewell tweet will surely be something along the lines of insulting both DT and the fans who didn't appreciate DT enough.
  16. They're currently at twelve teams. Is one leaving? I can't imagine that they'd prefer 15 teams to 14.
  17. UTEP makes sense. Rice doesn't. I suppose we'll be arguing about Ark St. and LaLa coming in to CUSA next.
  18. You wanna just post a preemptive dumpster fire now? Save everyone the trouble?
  19. Per USA Today, for CUSA, I see (in thousands): Rice: $805 Marhsall: $758 North Texas (McCarney): $721 Southern Miss: $700 Western Kentucky: $613 Fla Int.: $605 Charlotte: $600 Old Dominion: $565 Fla. Atl: $525 La. Tech: $517 UTEP: $514 UTSA: $427 I think it's safe to say we just took the #1 spot in the conference. Not sure why UTSA is so low other than Larry Coker probably doesn't care, but the disparity tells me that we are bringing in the donor money.
  20. Current Sagarin ratings has us 318 out of 351. Remaining on the schedule, I see #342 (God, that's awful) Nicholls St, #347 Mississippi Valley St (God, that's even MORE awful) and #338 UTSA. Also in the running is #305 Charlotte.
  21. Checks from the 17 and substantially higher TV payouts in CUSA than in SBC albeit at the cost of having to host weeknight and Saturday early start games.
  22. So agree with this. I've yet to see a head coach who has any inkling of understanding that there are two sides to the football. It's all in one way or the other, but never both. Really not interested in watching us lose 87-76 every week. Then again, this seems to be the way college football do anymore. Defense seems to be an afterthought across the entire spectrum of FBS.
  23. Only if you've got a matching, genuine peg leg.
  24. As long as we're going all Texas Tech staff here, what's Adam James up to. What, too soon?
  25. I like how he's looking at that tie on the plane like, "Oh crap. I have to wear a tie? You guys didn't tell me I had to wear a tie!"
