So at a glance, it seems like the Indiana years are the concern. Hard to judge that since they're generally a bottom feeding B1G team.

I can't pass judgment on this. On the one hand, the kid is definitely not charging at the officer full force with hatchet/axe raised. On the other hand, the officer has his gun drawn, and the kid isn't stopping his forward progress at all. I just don't know. I do know that even in my most inebriated state, I see that gun, I'm stopping. Immediately. My best guess on this is that the kid got mickey'd at the bar and/or took something voluntarily that just put him completely out of his mind. This definitely isn't a case of a cop shooting an unarmed suspect in the back while he's trying to escape. This is somewhere in the middle between that and full blown attack. Were I the officer, I'd definitely see my adrenaline meter going to 11.

I don't know that relative to our CUSA peers, budget is all that much of a concern anymore. I'm actually concerned the other direction that we've just thrown millions of dollars on the craps table hoping for hard eight on the hop. I like what I've heard from him so far. I'm not too concerned that we're gonna go out there and run nothing but rich white kid high school schemes on offense behind a line in shoddy shoes and a string of QBs who get smashed like so many unprotected pancakes. I'm not concerned that we take three timeouts and kick a field goal on 4th and inches from the five yard line with one minute left in the game when we're down by 5 points. I am, however, concerned that every game is going to be a 77-63 shootout. I am concerned that defense doesn't improve because it's not a priority. I am concerned that maybe Littrell has never even worked with a defense before so he's got to put blind faith in whatever positions coach he ultimately hires as DC. I am cautiously optimistic, but with heavy reservations. But I am not one bit concerned with budget. That issue has significantly resolved since the days of paying our coordinators minimum wage.

Well, seeing as there doesn't appear to be any penalties for taking a giant dump on the field while on defense, I'd say relative to this year, he's well qualified.

With the roster we've got, I don't think it's reasonable to expect much next year. I just checked Southern Miss as a benchmark. 2013 - 0-12 2014 - 3-9 2015 - 9-4 including a loss in the CUSA Championship Game The turnaround can happen, but I don't think it happens in 2016. I don't know how it can. We don't have an FBS roster.

Man, I wish I could get up to Denton during the week more often. That place is pretty good, but trying to get in there on a weekend is night impossible.
