I truly hope he's the guy. Really I do. But no more words. No more glad handing. No more resting on decade old laurels. Action. Operations. Function. Tangible progress. I'm gonna get Missouri license plates because they say "Show me" Otherwise, take my same ole' same ole' annual money, leave me alone, start a tab for me at the bar, and don't tell me how to think, and that goes for both sides of this quagmire. This is my university. It provided me with an education and a degree that has proven to be a very wise decision in my life. It is still in close enough proximity that I get to enjoy Denton and UNT on a regular basis. We begin the TAMS application process for my daughter THIS SUMMER (Where the hell did the time go??!?!?) I look forward to sharing the whole eagle thing with my kid. But that doesn't mean I have to see any part or the entirety of the university through infallible rose colored glasses. Neither does it mean I have to take to the streets in banner flying protest. It means that I look at parts of the whole institution. Some are doing well, some are kicking ass and taking serious names. Others, well, not so much.

Never been to one of these things. I went to something in July of 2013 once where Mac talked about his rings and Iowa a bunch, and that was about it. If I've already made my annual donations, and I've already bought my tickets, then there's really nothing to sell me on, and isn't selling memberships and tickets the ultimate goal of these things?

The real story here is that if all camps must now be held at the UNT campus, then Vito is even less likely to get his coveted parking pass.

To be honest, the only time I have ever seen something like that at any school was when the school announced they were cutting programs. See UAB. Otherwise, to my experience, students know what they're getting themselves in to when they sign up as freshman, and pretty much assume that to be the status quo and the reality of their college existence.

UNT athletics has turned in to class warfare with expressions of open disdain from both sides. It's unattractive...from both sides. That there should be a common goal is lost. That there even is a common goal anymore is questionable. Seems more important to divide ourselves. It's ugly. Participants on both sides are making it uglier. It doesn't help that our sports suck across the board. I am thankful that the real reason I attended UNT was to obtain a degree which has landed me in an increasingly lucrative profession. I am thankful that the performance and state of the athletic department and its fans have no bearing on my continued professional advancement. Mostly, I'm thankful that I've got other pursuits and priorities in life than to worry too hard about a recreational activity in which I take part five or six times a year. It's the off season, people. Can we please move to the important topics? You know, helmet stickers, uniforms, and American lager style beer vs. super hoppy IPAs?

I would like to know the name of your dealer, dude. On the scheduling thing, I'm fine with anybody so long as we play out this FCS thing and never imbibe in the well again. Most of the time it's nothing more than a stupid scrimmage, except when it's not. Then it's a national embarrassment. I'm not much for us bringing in Tech or Baylor or Texas or anybody like that. I've already seen us lose 66-7 enough times at home. No reason to test if our scoreboards can handle three digits.

Thursday night football has been a thing for about ten years now, right? Hasn't it been the realm of cable channel NFL Network the entire time? Now it's going back to broadcast CBS and free streaming on Twitter? Does that mean Monday Night Football will return to the unwashed cabless masses in the future again?
